I am a protector of my friends.
The Wolf has a ripped arm
The Dog has a ripped mind
The Cat has a ripped heart
and the Lion must learn acceptance.
I am Fox,
Not God.

I cannot be everyone's savior
Although I wish to be.
I am scared
for my friends
for my family
for my sanity
and for me.

I try to protect them with all that I can
and so far they're all suffering quietly along with me.
I'm tired of it.
I'm tired of seeing so much pain
and understanding as they mask their fake smiles for each others sake
then spew poison out of their lungs as they scream at me
to stop interfering.

They want the short leash to lengthen,
the torture to stop
and the pain to burn out.

And I'm trying to protect them.
