My first month at Petco is almost over, but it's been so much fun! The pay is okay, I would prefer something more sustainable, but hey - a job's a job. I haven't begun my dog training training yet, but hopefully I'll get hooked up with my mentor soon.
In the meantime I've been learning how to check on the animals, use the register, and locate items throughout the store. I really like all of my coworkers. They're all very nice!
My SO has been very excited about potentially getting a promotion within the next month. He just recently got certified to drive company vans, and I guess that's a good sign. I really do hope he gets it, and the raise too.
As for me, I hope I'll have promotion eligibility after working for Petco for awhile. That would be really nice and give me a stable job after graduating (still have a year of school to go, however).
OH OH OHHHHH! So.... after cleaning the betta tanks at work, I fell in love with one and brought him home and named him Dovahkiin. He's only been home for about a week, and he's already making a BUBBLE NEST!!! That means a betta is happy and in good condition! YAY!!!!! <3
