I've learned a very valuable lesson today, something that will enrich my life for as long as I live. Root beer and coffee do not mix. At all. I thought it was ingenious, and was rather proud of the idea when it first spawned in my mind. Well, I decided to bring the idea into reality and create it, which led to some very disgusting results. It tasted bitter and was just plain sickening, but, stubborn as I was, I drank it down all the same, because I refused to deny my own creation. I drank and drank, gulping down the disgusting liquid while trying my best not to retch it back up. I do think it would have tasted the same even if it were regurgitated, not that I'd drink it again. Well, lesson learned. I feel stronger and wiser with the experience, and someday, I will reap the fruits of it when I see someone about to mix the two beverages together. I'll hold out my hand, run towards them in slow motion while shouting, "No!" and frantically waving my arms like a lunatic. Oh, I cannot wait. This does not deter me from trying other beverages mixed together, mind you, for my ever inquiring mind will not let a thought go untested. If I believe something to be a good idea, or just merely curious of what the outcome may be, I'll bring it to life and bask in the rewards, whether they be good or bad. I sincerely do hope for the former though. I think it's a rather healthy thing to be curious of everything and anything, from the most scientific theories to what two drinks might taste like if mixed. Whether it's big or small, it's good to be curious about it. Curiosity can spawn the most peculiar things, and is the source of most likely every product we have today. So do not ward off your curiosity, allow it to take you on a journey and let you experience something other than the mundane day-to-day life that you've been trapped in. Curiosity and a little imagination can summon up the likes of which you've never seen or even thought of before. So let your mind wander, let yourself think and ponder and question, perchance you'll even stumble upon the next greatest product that could revolutionize the world and its inhabitants. You never quite know where you'll end up and what you'll find when you let your imagination take the wheel of the great vehicle we call our mind. It's quite the adventure, and you're missing out if you try to keep the poor thing on a leash as if it were some kind of pet. Let it roam free, and see where it takes you.
