Chris,"We get in, get the codes, and get out."
Everyone nods, no one exchanging words. I pier out the window, looking for a sign of the creatures, but everything outsideis still. Once we all exit the helicopter, there is no sound. It's too quiet here. We enter, hands on guns. Chris and Leon are leading us through, checking every side hall we come across. Jake, bringing up the rear, winces, making us all turn. He's holding his arm. Once he lets it go, there's a scar. It heals, but for the brief moment it was there, it was big. A silent predator, great. Jake stays next to Sherry, and we all quicken our pace. I'm looking from side to side now, trying to find the creature before it finds us. All of a sudden, I see it. Down the hall. It's skinny with a long sword. In a blurr it comes at us, and I push Chris out of the way. The creature stops in front of jake and Sherry, raising his sword. As Chris and I bounce up, Leon shoots. It dodges the bullets, turning its focus to the three of us. Once again, it raises it's sword. This time, Jake runs up behind it, taking its neck and snapping it. We immediately move on. Now that we have some idea of what one of the monsters are. We have no idea how many there are, or how many different ones are here. We stay silent, continuing down the long hall.
