Everyone stays silent, then look at me. I'm fixed on the ground, collecting my thoughts. How and when? With who? I can't wrap my mind around it until I think about a what she said. A month ago. We slipped up, having the thought that we'd never see each other again because we would have to llose contact with the outside world until Umbrella went down. Not knowing we'd be on the same team at the time, and that the mission was smaller than it was originally stated, we decided to spend our last night together, before our missions. One thing lead to another, and the night got carried away. I look up at Ada who's staring back at me, waiting for an answer,"Is this what you want?"
Her face becomes sad with my reply, and the other's finally connect who the father of this unborn baby is. She replys softly,"If you don't want to go through with this, I'd understand. I'll leave it up to you."
I know she wants it, her voice makes her sound depressed. I grab her, hugging tightly. I put one hand on her head, which rests on my shoulder, and the other around her,"Are you crazy? I couldn't put you through that, and I would never take an innocent baby's life."
She hugs me back. We keep this for a while, then slowly part.
"Ada, when we finish this, I want you to marry. I'd give you a ring, but I didn't expect this. I promise I'll get you whatever one you want when we get out of here."
She smiles,"I could care less about a ring. Of course I'll marry you."
She kisses me before I can say anything. After what seems like minutes, we part again.
Jake,"We'll, if you two love birds are done, I'll be back."
He gets up and goes into the woods. Ada's face blushes and I feel mine doing the same as we realize that that entire conversation, hug, and kiss we're all infront of everyone. Sherry, Piers, Chris, and Claire all have smiles on their faces. Chris,"Congradulations."
Claire,"You two really do belong with each other. When we get out of here, we're going to have a big party."
"Thanks you, and the parties not necessary."
Claire,"Of course it is."
I just smile and let it go. There's no way I'm going to change Claire's mind once she has her mind set on something.
