Powers: Extream empath- Able to take on the feelings and emotions of those around him. He feels what others feel as his own emotions. Through touch he can even store those emotions for future use.
He is able to alter the moods of those around him with stored emotions. He can calm an entire room of people or make them break into a riot if he chooses.
Also through touch and focus he can turn stored emotinal pain into physical pain, having the same effect as a powerfull tazer.
Under extream stress or at random he can see emotions as colored auras around people. Most noteable this power flairs when near anyone posessing a power ring, or any of the lantern corp.
Limitations: Most powerfull the closer he is or in touching distance to a person. Small rooms are most effective. Usual power range is 30-40 feet.
He is most effective against weak willed people. Less effective against those with high self controle (like Batman).
Strongest against: virtually amune to telapathy (it takes a very powerful telapath to break into his mind). Weak willed and emotinally overwhelmed people. Black lanterns.
Weakest against: Strong willed, overly emotinal, emotinally dead. Weak against a room of uncontrolable people with too many emotions going at once. All other basic weaknesses of a human.
Weapons: Twin hunting knives, also uses throwing knives. Skilled with small bladed weapons. Skilled in some forms of martial arts and hand to hand combat.
Bio: Born in Random Poland to gypsy parents, Gerard lived by way of caravan with his parents and younger sister Belle.
Durring the occupation in 1930, Gerard's family was rounded up to be sent to camps. His father resisted and was shot in front of him. His mother was loaded onto a truck. He and his siter Belle were taken to a special lab due to their powers. His siter Belle was able to controle the bodies of others through eye contact, so she was blind folded. Gerard was void of human contact beacuse of his extream empathy powers.
It wasn't until 3 years later that a man in green arrived to liberate the test subjects. He took great interest in Gerard. He referred to Gerard as the Light. The man helped create chryogenic freezers to make sure that Gerard would be alive in the future to save the universe from a potental threat he called the Blackest Night. gerard refused to be without his sister and the two were froze together.
Many years later Gerard was accidentaly unfroze to find his sister had been thawed out 5 years before him. He was now alone in a time he didn't know. Useing his powers he convinced a woman to help his escape. He searched for the one who unfroze his siter and lead him to america, Gotham city.
While in Gotham Gerard began working at an animal sanctuary. He prefered the company of animals to people in this time becaes animals had basic emotions and needs. He found humans in this time to be rude and arrogant.
Feeling the fear of the animals towrad the owner of the shelter, Gerard stayed late to investigate. He found the owner handing over dogs to be pumped full of vennom and used in illigal dog fights. He was ready to confront the man when Batman arrived to break the operation up.
Gerard cornered the owner and inflicted the stored fear of the animals on the man. Batman convinced Gerard to stop. The pair began to talk and Gerard told Batman how he was looking for his sister and couldn't afford a good detective and didnt understand computers enough to do it on his own. Batman offered to help in exchange for Gerard's tallents and help on cases.
It wasn't long after Gerard was on Batman's payroll that he encountered Bruce Wayne during one of his assigments at a charity ball. It was his lack of being able to read Bruce's emotions that peacked his curiosity in the man. Pulling him aside Gerard explained how every emotion leaves a scar, and all scars form a pattern unique to that person, like an emotinal fingerprint. No two are the same, and he recognized Bruce's as Batman's. swearing to secrecy Gerard still works freelance for Batman and travels the U.S to reach cities where Batman has little or no infuence.
