Personal Interview
Sharing an interview with a unique individual can produce some of the finest knowledge one can gain. We gain a certain ideal about that person and learn not only of their personal lives, but also of the culture that the individual has attached themselves to. I had gained the opportunity to interview a Miss Kimberly Discoe and found out just what her world is like through the details of a single item.
First, let us learn of the woman who brought the item before me. Kimberly Discoe was born on August 10th, 1989 in Fontana, California. She is twenty-two years old and currently resides in Murrieta, California. Her native language is English, though she can perform sign language quite fluently. Her education has lasted eighteen-and-a-half years and she plans on furthering her education with a degree in Communications and Anthropology at UC Irvine. She is single, with no kids, and she has two sisters. She is not into sports all that much. Rather, she loves to read, play video games, listen to music, surf the internet, and watch anime (Japanese cartoons) and attend anime conventions. She has yet to discover her special talents. She hopes that someday, she can publish a novel on her own and believes that living and surviving in these tough times is a major accomplishment. The world of Kimberly Discoe is truly fascinating.
Now the item presented before me by Kimberly was a book about an apocalyptic end. This is a rather large book and has a slightly hardness to it, though it is paperback. The cover is smooth and glossy with a pinkish color mixed in with black and green stripes. The cover is old and worn so this manufactured book must be old. The contents of the book are witty and philosophical, showing that Kimberly may enjoy books of this sort. This item was chosen due to the fact that quite possibly, Kimberly casually enjoys reading or may have a passion for it. The book shows that Kimberly is very intelligent and enjoys books that challenges the mind and gets one to think on many things.
The story behind the book is a rather simple one. First thought to have had motion sickness, Kimberly discovered that she could read on the bus without succumbing to the sickness. She borrowed this book from the local library, as part of a suggestion by a friend, and soon came to love the story. The story itself is rather interesting; with a midget playing the protagonist, yet he himself is not the focus of the story. Though the story is not entirely interesting, Kimberly’s love of reading helped this interviewer learn a thing or two about someone different.
Kimberly is an intelligent woman that I was proud to interview. She is thought-provoking, intelligent, and has the same interests as I do. As I see it, she is a mirror image of myself and has a unique style that brings a smile to the face. The book was rather interesting as it is a type of story that one can get deeply involved in. I hope to learn more from Kimberly in the future.
