Pitch Black
In darkness, I feel comfort
A steady beating black
My eyes are wide open,
Yet I see nothing,
My heart holds nothing back
I wait for the sun to rise
To end my lonely stance,
I fear the light won't reach my eyes
And I'll be left to my own devices.
