Dear Diary,
It's Tsuki... I can't believe I'm writing in a diary... Everyone at home would laught if they found out I wrote in one... Oh well... I need to record things to report on when I get home and this will help me. Damn, I'm rambling. Heh, I always do that...
So today I am starting to write in this journal... geeze, I've lost it... Well, anyways, today seemed like it was going to be a good day when I got up but boy was I wrong... I mean, I try to be nice to others and I really do care about them but really... I don't think they care... Kami I miss home, there I could do whatever I wanted and not get in trouble. I think when I get back home I'm going to spar with Kenpachi-taicho... Eh... Maybe not, that wouldn't be the best of ideas... So um, my friend Rob-san, he and I were talking and it sorta felt like he didn't even care... I mean I tried to talk him into going to class but he said he had more important stuff to do... And he pretty much said that I wasn't needed... He questioned my abilities... I'm used to fighting off hollows, not humans with powers. My dad sent me to this school so I can learn new battle techniques and so that I could make sure the souls in the school are safe... Well I feel freaking lonely because a lot of people don't even ask if I want to join with their adventure and just ditch me... geeze... My friends at home will never let me live this down... The Great Yamamoto Tsuki Hana is having problems at school and is writing in a journal... I can see it now, Abarai-kun would start making fun of me and then I go ape s**t on him... heh... I need to blow off some steam and train... I guess this is where I end my journal entry?

Written in neat Hiragana is the name Yamamoto Tsuki Hana. It seemed to be engraved in gold and bound in black leather. There's a buckle on it and a design of vines and two wings on it, also engraved in gold. There is one sentence engraved that is in English. "The words and thoughts of a warrior lie in these pages..."
