i went home today...first time since the hurricane. when i opened the doors i saw priceless momentos of dead family members thrown all over the place. i fell to my knees and cried until i couldn't cry anymore. my entire first floor of my house is destroyed. when i walked into the living room my heart started to race and then slowed down when i saw my grandfather's pictures and boats destroyed. he was more of a man then i could even dream to be. he was not only my grandfather, but he was also my role model, mentor, hero and was like a second father to me. he and my dad taught me to fish, hunt and trap when i was thirteen. i may have lost the pictures, but i'll never loose the memories. it's funny because my grandmother''s name is Irene...
