Dark woke up after hearing her father scream. She was crying but coudn't understand why. she had hated her parents and was glad they were dead. she didn't want to cry for them.
she whiped her eyes and looked around. she was in a huge bed with curtains surrounding it. it was still dark outside when she looked through the window which went almost to the roof and floor.
she crawled off the bed. as soon as her feet were on the ground the door was opened. the man was standing in the doorway his eyes glowing red through the darkness. he reached out and flicked the light swich on. the room lit up.
"hello Dark"
"hello Darius it's been a while."
"yes it has. why don't you come out and sit down. we can.. talk."
she started to walk to the door. he moved slowly out of her way and guided her to the library where a nice fire was blazing. she sat down in one of the chairs.
