(The mosque of desolation)

Standing there. In a room. In a line,in a room. Waiting to get in. For something.
I look over to my right. A wall...it blocks a third of the people in the room from getting in.
It has windows on the wall. And a door. Reminds me of the old style banks...
The line moves. I look on the other side,through the window. I see a panel,with...
Artie. And Kelly. And Gene...but...they're not wearing their prayer shawls...And it's Friday night. Why?
On the benches behind them,I see a split. Men on the left,women on the right. So few women are there...
I see Natasha and Richard. She looks so scared....he looks so nasty...Nothing like the lively couple I know.
I look at my hand...Down to my arm-- Wait! Why am I wearing this!? I don't wear something like this usually. I touch my neck...there's cloth around it. And it's so tight, I can barely breathe...I touch my head...and there's a wrap on that too...

The line moves once more,and I'm finally through the door. It's humid...and heavy. It's about the size of a High-School gym. I look up,and see David. He leans down,and whispers, "Go sit next to Natasha. You can't be next to me here..."
I go to Natasha...and why is she not dressed how I am? Why isn't Kelly dressed,too?

She sits me next to her,and pulls me close. "Katrina...We have to get out of here. This is not our ADONAI's domain. When the bell sounds,we run straight for those blue doors,and don't turn back."
I hear a trumpet sound,and I turn my head to Artie,whom is standing up. He loudly states, "Our friend Richard is becoming a man."
There is a silence,more eerie than anything I've ever NOT heard...
My phone rings. It's in my pocket...
And it's loud. Everyone turns to look at me. With an unamused face,I take it out and turn it to slient.
And everyone's eyes are still on me. They slowly stand.
"You have defiled the temple of the Great Deciever. You shall die." They mumble...
Quickly,David and Natasha grab my hand,and we run out of the room through the blue doors. I look ahead,and I see nothing but forest.
We run. As our lives are on the line,we run. For days,perhaps even weeks,we ran for our lives,and for our beliefs. We were inside the enemies' camp,and we had to escape...

(The river of judgment and faith)

The forest soon died out,and the canyon escalated past. It was a bright reddish-gold color dirt,and the rocks were sulfur.
Still,we climbed them. It was almost like a winding staircase of rock and dirt,like a slide you would find at a public park,but not as steep.
We reached the peak,and Natasha tilts her head..."Is that...water I hear?"
"In this desert?" I ask...the spread of the view at the peak was forest,forest,forest...
David raises his eyebrow. "I hear it,too..."
"Huh.." I mumble...I turn around a bit,and I see a river of water climbing the staircase. "Oh. It's just a river." I did a double-take. "A RIVER?!?!?"
David and Natasha turned around,eyes widened. It roared, it crashed, it shook the stair of rock itself. Taking the frontal form of a lion,it crashed against us,and over the peak. We were instantly drenched...
The three of us climbed onto a small boulder that was attached to the mountains' face. The water split around the rock,and filled the basin beneath the mountain to form another, calm river. What was still on the staircase furiously beat at the rock. We were standing on our toes to keep from drowning.
"Quick!" David yelled over the rushing water, "Someone has to jump!"
"You go first!" I yelled nervously.
"Alright!" David gave me a quick hug,then jumped off. I watched him closely....
At first,he was falling...but a wind picked up,and he looked like a soaring eagle. He landed on the other side of the river below,unharmed.

I gave Natasha a brave nod,and smiled. "Well..." I tossed myself off the edge. I felt the breeze beneath me,and the feeling of falling. There was a warm gust,and I landed right next to David,then quickly hugged him.

Natasha took a deep breath and jumped. David and I were in awe...
As she fell,we saw these two,blueish-transparent beings with bright wings, beneath her,and carried her safely to our side of the river...
