I was going to write about truly beautiful people, but I don't know if they exist now that I think about it. Maybe you know of some. I just know I think I may know of some.

What is the criteria for a beautiful person? I don't know if there is some special criteria. But I do know I look for certain things. First of all, the person must have a gift. A beautiful gift the person is aware of. Something they do spectacularly well and originally. Something that flows in them like water. Something they just knew how to do without being taught. Something they know how to do so well that they inherently do original things with it. Original things that make people be transfixed, sometimes cry. Overall, the person is modest about this thing they do. They say, "oh no, no. Its just something I do. I'm sure there's someone doing it better." They have a hunger to express themselves in any way they can, as well.

Another thing I look for is a unique way of thinking. Some special way they look at the world. They don't know or think its "wrong", this viewpoint. Examples of certain viewpoints of which are beautiful are the abilities to think genderlessly, whether in something like clothes or even love. One would look underneath the surface. Another example is to look for the details, the little things in life. Such as taking the time to appreciate the way a rock looks. Or perhaps studying the colors of an autumnal leaf. There are so many ways to look at the world beyond the norm. I can't possibly say more about it, except this: their viewpoint, when explained to others, enlightens the listener so much the person is forever changed and perhaps influenced to live their life that way at least in part.

This may seem trivial, but another thing I look for in a beautiful person is outside beauty. Now, if a soul which was not beautiful lived in that body, the body might not be beautiful. Perhaps it might even appear ugly. You might notice the nose is bigger than on a normal person. Or perhaps their smile is ugly. But with a beautiful person, their beautiful soul shines through and their smile can light up the room even if their teeth are placed strangely in their mouth. Their eyes are oddly more expressive, more searching and curious to learn. Their hand gestures are more controlled and knowing. Perhaps they have such a joy of life in them that they can't help but dance or wiggle about. This is the heart of the matter that is most difficult to express about a beautiful person. Every beautiful person is different in their own unique way. But once again, once you meet a beautiful person you are forever changed. You think, "wow, that person was...different. Maybe I should live my life a bit like them."

Something I've noticed about beautiful people are their hands. I've mentioned this before just a little bit. Their hands are more controlled and knowing. There is something wise and precious about their hands. Their hands seem to be their center of being. But of course, for the hands are usually how a gift can be expressed. Whether by playing an instrument, expressing an art such as dance, cooking, painting, even excentuating an oration, innumerable things. The hands are also a way for the soul to be unique, such as tapping in impatience, biting fingernails in nervousness, etc. They usually also have vastly original handwritings.

The voice is also something else. Their voices are usually different from anyone else's. You would instantly be able to identify such a person if they spoke to you when other people are speaking because your ears would perk and you would think, "I've never heard anyone's voice sound like such a thing before." It is hard to explain, once again. You may think, "I wouldn't think that about anyone" but if you meet a beautiful person, you would. Their laugh is something that warms cold hearts. It would make you, at the very least, smile a little.

Lastly, the beautiful person has a pure heart. Not always an innocent heart, but a pure one. I don't mean they're chaste, I mean they are eternally kind and giving. Not naive, really. They just always want to be nice. They're the sort of person who would give up their seat to a pregnant woman on the train, even if there are many other seats available. They'd give their last piece of food to a friend without thinking about it. They'd give their jacket to someone they percieve is in more need of it than they. Adding on, they also are usually quite philosophical about life. They think about things sometimes. They ponder why the rain falls. They wonder about the moon's light. They wonder why sound is. And while doing all of this, they are (again) modest, modest, modest. They make you cry once you truly discover even one of these beautiful things about them.

Isn't it hard to believe such a person exists?
