I thought that it would be best if I gave you a little bit of background information about me. It isn't a pleasant story, but I can't be ashamed of it anymore.

These past few years have been the absolute most trying time in my life. I have always had low self-esteem issues, but they kept nagging at my subconscious. Soon, I began to picture myself as unattractive. I fell into anorexia in a strange way. I ate, but I over exercised. Each day I would run three miles in the morning, two in the afternoon, and do an hour of pilates and yoga. No matter how thin I got, it wasn't enough. Soon size 0 in junior's clothing was too big for me. Finally, I was hospitalized with unbalanced electrolytes, muscle and organ deterioration, low and irregular heart beat, brittle bones, a tear in my esophagus and a slew of other symptoms at a weight of 72lbs. I looked as though I had just come from a concentration camp. I am slowly recovering after having a feeding tube put in me and numerous IVs. I am finally back to a near healthy weight. According to the doctors and all the nurses, I shouldn't have made it through. Please understand, this is in no means a cry of pity. I made my mistakes and have overcome them. I just wanted my friends to know a little more about me. Please, do not let the words or actions of others harm you. Do not let them drive you to the extremes that I have been through. It is likely that my heart will finally give up before 10 years have passed, but we must all live our lives to the absolute fullest. I hate to see others hurting and if there is anything you wish to talk about, I am always here to listen. Just keep smiling and remember that you are all unique, beautiful people. Never forget it.
