First Year of College
So far...
Well... I think it would make more sense if I described my work ethic throughout high school. I procrastinate on EVERYTHING, but never turned in any assignments late. Final grades in all my classes were never lower than a solid B. And finally classes were never skipped. In college however my first semester I can honestly say I didn't take it as seriously as I should have. The first few months I did, but as it got towards Midterm time and even around Finals I was seriously slacking. Skipping classes and lectures to get more sleep. Which really isn't my fault since I would be up at 5am every morning and then at school all day learning and whatnot. Not to mention the lectures I did skip were all not mandatory lectures. Obviously it would be beneficial to attend, but it wasn't required... A few lab reports for Chemistry were turned in late because those are so extensive and there's one due every week on top of whatever other work was assigned. Procrastination killed me. My final grade in Biology is a C+ The LOWEST final grade I have EVER received in my entire life.
Yes I know I am a terrible person T^T
Some people never receive the kind of opportunities that I have being able to attend a facility of high education and here I was screwing around and not taking it seriously. To me I was still like "I was a kickass high school student. I will totally own the fall semester at UHart." Yeah that didn't happen. Fall Semester was a total fail and I am ashamed of myself T^T But behold! I have Spring Semester to redeem myself! >:0 I am very organized, I have not procrastinated at all, and my work is done the day it is assigned. Oh yeah. This is a complete 180 baby. This semester I am aiming for all As~ I will accept a B+ but the plan is to get As!! I need to bring my GPA up so much higher~ I have a 3.09 which is TERRIBLE. If it was .10 points lower I would've lost my scholarship... meaning I'd have to transfer or drop out altogether ://///////////////////////
Definitely not a good thing since all I've been doing is planning for my future. Without school I would not have a future.
I need a good paying job so that I can save money so that I can stand on my own two feet. I want to be stable in the future. I want to be able to have a college fund for the kids that I hope to have when I'm older, and I want to have an amazing house in a good neighborhood and hopefully once I finish this Doctorate program at UHart I'll either be a part of a well-known well-renowned practice, or I'll have my own practice~ Of course this future talk just deals with my career. I want/need Brandon to be there with me as well. He's saving up his money for college and his mom promised him that if he wasn't in school by 2014 (which I'm sure he will be) his mom would get other members of his family to help him pay for his school~ He's going for Respiratory Care as his field of study. I cannot wait until we both finish school and can actually start our lives <33333
