Song-Night
In the depths of the night
i wish for the light
to strengthen my soul
so i can travel home
As i try to sleep
and dream of nice things
the darkness seeps in
and i struggle once again
it creeps into my heart
and into my soul
what can i do
I am all alone
Walking along
i hear a voice
it speaks to me softly
and i listen earnestly
It says listen close
i will keep you safe
i will banish the night
and bring you back to the light
when i look up and see
its an old friend before me
leading me to
somewhere safe some where warm.
