MY OWN WORDS
sorry I haven't put up news lately, but today I wanna discuss something that was... or was not put in your history books, as you already know media is the most powerful source in this country (USA) even more powerful than the the government and the constitution it self and this is my way to prove that it is. first of all there are 2 kind of journalist the kind that will got you to agree with them anyway they can those are the ones that would always bend reality and if you can bend the story, you may not realize it but you're bending reality it self. and there are those that give you the story as it is without putting their personal opinion into it these are the more trained and professional ones.
By this point in time I would imagine that everyone has heard about the Vietnam war and how 40% of the American society didn't support the Vietnam war. That 10 or 15 people will protest against our troops doesn't make the whole American society turn our backs on our soldiers. Back in those days they will send our troops back home not as a group but as an individual nowadays they bring them home as a company. just imagine one of the GI's walking off the plane and all of a sudden this little girl comes running over and she yells "you're a baby killer!!" spit next to his shoe and then she would run off, but they've always send a female cause is they would have send a male some Marine would break his face and it'll end there you know?
now everyone thinks that the American society turned their backs on our troops, the troops that got home after the Vietnam war were all spit on, we didn't have a parade to welcome our troops home, and that most of our young didn't support our troops, that's not true. We did have a parade for our troops back in Washington and it consisted on civilians Marching for our soldiers, the GI's were all sitting in bleachers as civilians marched around for about nine hours and there was people standing in line waiting to march for the GI's for about 3 hours. they've also said they didn't have a band playing for them, 120 playing for then probably the biggest Military band in history.
There were police man and any other organization there was during the time and those police officers were not obligated to go and march, they've all volunteered, they said who ever wants to put their uniforms and march for our troops in the parade were all welcome to do so, and it's so indescribably stupid that we would turn our backs on our own troops like the Media said we did. but we've never promoted this information because there was never anything in the news and all they ever had to do was grab a camera go up to about the 3rd or 4th floor and starts shooting, because that parade was right in next to the News building too.
so now there's written in your text books that we didn't have a parade for our GI's in Vietnam and that the whole American society didn't support our troops and that we've turned our backs them, just because the media didn't cover it, so now I ask you when you watch television and you're watching news or reading about news you need to get both sides of the story not just one side. get the democratic side, the communist side and the republican side because that really influences the way you look at the world.
