My Journal
Pengy Society Part 6
I know, it's been a while. My life's just been a bit...hectic lately so I haven't been able to write all that much...well, here's part 6!! Hope you enjoy ^^ I've made so many plans for this story but I've been to busy to do anything ^^"

The alarm droned on and on as a signal for Luci to get up and prepare for another boring day. Although she could hear it's bell ringing in her ears, she couldn't help but feel that today would be different. After hearing what Steph had said yesterday, her mind was in a weird sort of haze. She could hardly concentrate during dinner last night whenever anyone asked her a question. Her mom constantly took her temperature to make sure she wasn't sick or anything. She didn't have any weird dreams last night, thank god for that, but she still felt a bit weird inside.
Opening her eyes, she looked over at her alarm clock and tapped the button on top to turn off the alarm. The covers were wrapped around her multiple times to tell her that she had had a rough night. With a silent sigh escaping her lips, she eased herself out of bed and walked out into the living room. Her mom was doing the laundry, as always, and welcomed her by checking her daughter's temperature. Luci endured through it, not wanting to start off on the wrong foot with her mom, and headed downstairs for some breakfast.
She had to hold onto the railing to keep herself from falling flat on her face. Her mind was still in a haze with so many thoughts and questions, it was hard enough to stay coordinated. As she wandered into the kitchen, she decided to prepare a simple bowl of cereal. After making multiple messes on the kitchen counter, she finally had her own bowl of Honey Comb Cereal.
Staying awake while she ate was almost as hard as making her breakfast. She was only able to eat about half of her bowl before her mom forced her to stop and get ready for school. As she wandered back into her room, she closed the door and wandered to her closet. As she opened her door, expecting to see all of her clothes lined up on hangers, she had an unwanted guest that surprised her enough to scream. The "guest" tackled her to the ground and cupped his hands over her mouth.
"Hush, now. Don't want your mom coming in here, do you?" the man asked. Luci slowly opened her eyes as her scream quieted down to see Steph laying on top of her with his hands over her mouth. Her entire face went red as he got off of her and reached out a hand to help her up. Nervously, she placed her hand in his and couldn't help but slap him across the face.
"What are you doing here?! In my closet- what are you a Peeping Tom or something!?" she asked in a harsh whisper. Steph rubbed his cheek slightly and let out a soft sigh. He was already in his school uniform with his bag over his shoulder, as if he had gone to school overnight and decided to stay in her closet once it was over.
"I'm only here to make sure you're okay. You seemed a bit..uneasy after last night." he replied. Luci looked at him as if he was insane then watched as he handed her the school uniform her mom had washed that night. "I've sworn to protect you, Luci. Get ready for school, alright? Don't want to be late..." he added and hid himself in her closet once again.
Trying to keep her anger hidden, she angrily pulled her uniform on her quickly, making sure that her unwanted guest didn't see anything. Once she was done changing, she pulled open her closet and allowed Steph to come out.
"How are you going to get past my mom?" she asked, but her answer came as she had asked that question. He walked over to the window and pulled it open. He looked at her with a smile and a half wave of his hand.
"Guess I'll see you at school." he said to her as he jumped down from the windowsill and onto the streets below. Luci's eyes widened and she ran over to the window to see him looking around and walking off to school. She let out a sigh of relief, making sure to scold him the next time she saw him, and walked out of her room. She bade her mother goodbye and left her home towards the prison she was forced to go to every day.
As she wandered up the street, she spotted Steph leaning against a light pole about two blocks from her house. Her anger returning, Luci ran towards him and gave him another slap in the face.
"Care to explain why- no more importantly how you got into my house last night?!" she yelled, stamping one of her feet angrily on the cement beneath her. He looked at her and another sigh escaped his lips.
"I already told you. I came because I was worried. It's not hard to break through a window." he said. Luci looked at him with a shake of her head. Steph looked around the streets warily and took her hand. "C'mon. There's something I have to show you." he whispered close to her ear, causing goosebumps to form on her arms.
He dragged her into a nearby alleyway and removed his blazer. Luci's cheeks turned bright red as she tried to ease herself out of the alleyway, but he stopped her.
"I'm not going to do anything, okay? I'm just gonna show you something I think you should know about me..." he told her as he removed his shirt. A set of black and white wings unfolded from his back, his eyes turned yellow and his usual brown hair formed streaks of red. He looked at Luci and smiled slightly, revealing longer eye teeth. He was a monster in Luci's eyes. She stared at him nervously, her body shaking uncontrollably. The kind, quiet Steph she knew couldn't possibly be the beast standing in front of her.
"Don't be scared Luci" Steph said and offered out a hand which showed longer fingernails. He was a demon. He was a monster. Luci couldn't see him as anything else. This couldn't have been the Steph she knew.
Unable to endure any more of the new figure that stood before her, she darted out of the alleyway with tears forming in her eyes. She felt bad to just leave him like that, but he was so much of a monster to him, she couldn't bare to see him anymore.
