I leaned back and listened to the crackling of the fire while remembering my time in boy scouts..learning how to survive in the woods. I watched the beautiful waves of red, orange, and yellow dance into the starry night sky. Silently listening to the crackling and flickering of burning wood rids me of my fear of being alone. The feeling of warmth radiating from the fire reminds me of my grandparents' house when I was young. I watched the smoke dance in fancy pirouettes into the dark sky. The light from the fire burned brightly..like my heart at the thought of home.
