Fate plays nasty jokes
This rp is in between two Mages, a woman and man who were former lovers. This can go anywhere...please be the guy...and make up a name for him...PM me if interested!

She stared down at him, coldly and desiring to end his existence. “Traitor…” her mind told “Kill the traitor”. Her hand trembled as it grasped the hilt of her sword...”STOP!” another voice in her mind said “Do not kill him. I brought you here so you’d find him and help preserve his life”. This sweet but commanding voice was the Essence. The Essence was the force and the energy that made magic and controlled it and what gave other mages the power to use magic and master it. Sighing defeated, she bent on her knees and checked his vital signs. He was barely breathing and had lost a lot of blood…but he was alive nonetheless.
Even though his face was contorted with pain and his body covered in wounds and scratches, she still thought he was gorgeous. Painfully, she remembered the first time he told her he loved her and how she had returned the same feelings he had for her. She remembered the first time he kissed her and the last time he had shared her bed just to find him gone…and then to learn he had joined a band of Dark Mages who were the cause of an uprising against the government. At that time, they were attending the Academy for Mages and they were being trained to be Mage Warriors to serve in the military. Civil War broke out and there was turmoil for a few years…until the rebels and the government reached an agreement and the war ceased. There had been a change in the government and though, she hated to admit it, it was for the better. The previous government had not been very good.
However, all those years she had hated him for leaving her without answers, for joining the enemy, for not trying to contact her to give her an explanation and for all the worry and loneliness he had inflicted upon her. She gazed at him, eyes full of resentment, and called her horse Goliath. The black stallion came and knelt so she could hoist upon its back. Still unconscious, she led the horse to her forest cabin. She would not take him back to the city…she was very far from it and at pace they were moving, it would take all night and half of the following day to get there and she had no intention of walking all that time. She was tired from all the training she had been doing all day…until she had felt a weird urging. She had a training ground very deep into the forest and far from the city, she had built it herself. She also had a cabin where she sometimes stayed to enjoy the solitude the forest offered. It helped her meditate. She had become much respected in the Mage community so no one questioned every time she disappeared for a couple of days in her forest retreat. The Essence had compelled her to go to the ruins by the waterfall, it was a bit further from her training grounds but she went. That’s where she found him, all wounded and unconscious. She had yet to find out what was he doing out here all alone and what had happened to him.
She sighed with relief as they came closer to the cabin. Nightfall was coming. She put Goliath in the stable and then dragged the man inside the cabin. She placed him on her bed and took his clothes off. She tended his wounds, first she cleaned them with some medicinal herbs and once they were cleaned, she used her healing spells to close the wounds. The small scratches were gone without a trace but the deeper cuts left some light scars and would open again if he did strenuous activities. She made a tea to help him regain some strength and slipped some of it down his throat. She didn’t have any other clothes to wear so he left him without a shirt and only with his pants on. She placed his traveling coat, his dirty shirt and his other belongings at the foot of the bed. He slept so peacefully and his breathing was steady. It was still too soon to tell whether he would live or not, but she would leave it to fate. Only fate and his own will to live would determine whether he would wake up or not. She had done her part and now it was a matter of time.
“I, Jade ‘The Phoenix’ Dimetri, have done my part…Fate has played a nasty joke on me but I trust there is a purpose behind this. It is all done as you have asked of me, Oh Essence…” She said softly as she closed the door of the bedroom behind her. She went to the sitting room and sat in front of the fire, cross-legged and meditated in silence…while her former lover slept on the other room. What would she say if he woke up? She prayed to the gods to give her strength to the upcoming ordeal, for she preferred battling a blood-thirsty horde of warriors than facing the man that betrayed her country and her heart.
