In a world full of villains,
I find it hard to find Heroes.
They hide from me,
so I hide in a house full of mirrors.
Reflections of dark curtains,
images that churn the mind.
I run to the mirror of despair,
and find that image to be mine.
Depression is a word,
just like suppression or dimension.
Titles and labels,
they've sent me to life's detention.
If you were a hero,
perhaps you would see my distress.
Though since you're a villain,
My life is a mess.
From father to son,
Traditions are passed.
When the day is done,
My mind tends to crash.
At the sight of your name,
I forget if we've met.
And those memories feigned,
they are heaven sent.
Son of a villain,
son of a hero.
It all depends
on what I see in the mirror.
I find it hard to find Heroes.
They hide from me,
so I hide in a house full of mirrors.
Reflections of dark curtains,
images that churn the mind.
I run to the mirror of despair,
and find that image to be mine.
