I sat there on the floor,
my sleeves soaked with tears.
I was lost,
I didn't know where to go or where I was.
I didn't know what to do anymore.
Until he found me.
He showed me the way.
He walked with me on a path;
A road where the light broke through the trees,
the sound of birds heard echoing down the trail.
I was happy.
I smiled at him;
he smiled at me...
my sleeves soaked with tears.
I was lost,
I didn't know where to go or where I was.
I didn't know what to do anymore.
Until he found me.
He showed me the way.
He walked with me on a path;
A road where the light broke through the trees,
the sound of birds heard echoing down the trail.
I was happy.
I smiled at him;
he smiled at me...
then he dissapeared...
I sat there on the path,
now dark, cold, and lost;
a road that winded and made its way back to the beginning again.
I sat there,
my sleeves soaked with tears.
Until she found me.
She lead me through the field,
overflowing with light,
warmth from the sun,
the tall grass swaying in the breeze.
I was safe.
I held her;
she held me...
now dark, cold, and lost;
a road that winded and made its way back to the beginning again.
I sat there,
my sleeves soaked with tears.
Until she found me.
She lead me through the field,
overflowing with light,
warmth from the sun,
the tall grass swaying in the breeze.
I was safe.
I held her;
she held me...
then she dissapeared...
I sat there in the field,
the sun and light overshadowed by clouds,
a storm threatening to break.
The safe warmth replaced with an ice cold breeze.
I sat there,
my sleeves soaked with tears.
And for once I got up.
I walked,
the sun and light overshadowed by clouds,
a storm threatening to break.
The safe warmth replaced with an ice cold breeze.
I sat there,
my sleeves soaked with tears.
And for once I got up.
I walked,
and walked,
and walked,
Until I found an old bench in the middle of a forest surrounding the field.
I walked up to it,
I sat down,
And for once I did not cry.
I sat down,
I looked around.
I looked for somebody to come and find me.
I waited,
I walked up to it,
I sat down,
And for once I did not cry.
I sat down,
I looked around.
I looked for somebody to come and find me.
I waited,
and waited,
and waited.
But no one came.
I began to cry again.
I felt the loneliness,
the emptiness,
and the fear swell inside me...
I began to cry again.
I felt the loneliness,
the emptiness,
and the fear swell inside me...
until I felt the warmth...
I raised my head to look again,
but no one was there.
The warmth grew inside me.
The trees that created a thick, binding sheild from the sky began to bend and twist in every direction.
The dense foilage opened up to reveal a blue sky, scattered with white clouds.
The sun's rays poured into the forest.
I looked around, searching for someone who would be there to find me.
Until I realized,
but no one was there.
Until I realized,
I had found myself.
