Entry 1
Today I seemed to have woken up on an island, stranded it seems as we couldn’t find the pilot man. Sucks to our luck but we are thankfully in a paradise. Along the discovery I seemed to have made acquaintances with a fat kid named Piggy. He’s a grubby sort but I guess I will keep him for the immense laughs. Shortly after meting him though I found a shell. It’s a grand tool as well, you can use it like a horn.
Another set I have met are twins named Sam and Eric. They’re both odd if you ask me. A choir boy group arrived as well today. The leader, Jack, wanted my title but I know that everyone will follow me. I’m the leader of us all!’ He can be a hunter, I’m sure that now he has at least some task to do.
I wonder how long we shall stay on this island. It’s quite a curiosity that we are even alive. But for now I am tired. Tomorrow is going to be a fun day.
Entry 2
Today I declared that there is no grown ups on this island. How grand is that? I notice however, thanks to Piggy, that it looks like there is no way we can have a signal if a ship comes by. Not to mention that while we’re on this island that we need food too. Jack is a hunter now with his choir boys, I’m sure in time we’ll have something to eat soon. I already have so many responsibilities! At least we have started up a signal fire now, I can see the churn of black smoke up in the air and Jack told me he and his hunters would keep it going. We used Piggy’s glasses so at least he’s good for something besides nagging me all the time. We left him in charge of the littluns though, but it seems like we lost one during the fire. I wonder if he’s still here or…
Entry 3
It seems like only me and Simon are doing our work here! After a meeting discussing our plans of shelter for the littluns, all of them seemed to drift away in a mater of minutes! I feel bad for Simon as well as myself, because the huts we make fall every time and it is becoming a stressful task. After a while though, Jack came to us without a pig and looking well angry. I of course was furious too though. Hunters, really? Can he not keep the task up? I thought it was an excuse to get out of real work and upon voicing this we both noticed just how different we were. Nevertheless we argued for his lack on thought on being rescued and my effort to try and not run off to have fun like the littluns. But after finding Simon gone, we swam together with the rest of the group. Sucks to us that we don’t seem to be the best of friends
Entry 4
What am I going to do about Jack? Today has been a big disappointment, really. There was a ship, a ship I tell you! And maybe just maybe we could have caught it, too. But that darned Jack took the ones who tended to the fire. For what? A pig! A pig no less! I was outraged! He even had the nerve to break Piggy’s glasses, an essential item! Of course he jokes he poked towards him were fun and all, But when it came down to, Jack has just been getting to be more of a hassle than I thought. I’m ashamed of myself though, as I gave in and ate what the hunters had finally gotten. They performed some kind of show although I was not very much interested. Things must be done if we want to go home. I have summoned a meeting.
Entry 5
There’s a lot of thinking when it comes to an assembly. Littluns are far too young to understand big words, but I needed a speech to be direct. They say there’s too many rules now, but we had rules in the past and now no one follows them. It was worse that the rules are also simple and easy to follow. I decided to keep the biggest problem last. A beast on the island? I know Jack was forceful when he described it to the others, but it’s well true that there shouldn’t be any kind of beast here, right? Everyone has been having nightmares about it, screaming and talking in their sleep. During the assembly it caused a riot as well. Freaky, don’t you think? But it seems like no one feels like holding the conch to speak, and that is a growing problem that needs to be fixed. Without order where would we be?
Entry 6
A beast! A real beast? Sam’n’Eric woke us up to declare it. From the looks of it they were pretty scratched up too. Eric didn’t even remember being messed up. I decided, along with a sturdy complaint from Jack, to leave Piggy and the littluns back on the beach while the rest of the group searched for the beast. Although in the end, along with more complaints from Jack, the group only seemed to be interested in rolling rocks, save for Simon of course. Everyone wanted to stay where we are, but I knew there was no food or shelter here. We need to move on still, although it is tiring…
