This week has been insane! We had rehearsals all week after school for the chic fashion show. I finally got my walk down and started working on a signature pose. My outfit was this black shirt with sparkles on it and these chains attached to it then these gray skinny jeans, and my own 4-inch heel black boots. =) It was amazing. Yesterday was the actual show day!!! I didn't have to go to class because they needed me in the auditorium to rehearse and get stuff ready for the show. From 7:40am - 10:30am we just chilled. I left with one of my friends to go visit classes. I ran into someone unpleasant along the way. I didn't want to run into him. Especially not looking as bad as I did that morning. Later on I figured out that my friend likes him. I could care less. Errr.. But she said some stuff about him that isn't really true at all... She doesn't really know him at all. As stupid and contradictory as I might sound saying this, I was kind of happy that I knew him better than she does. >_< I don't get why I felt so happy about that though, if I can't stand him anymore... Anyways, after that incident, we finally got to start rehearsing. I'm the 6th person to walk when the show starts. After rehearsing two or three times, we had some lunch. Lunch was pretty fun and refreshing, if you ask me. Then we got back in to the auditorium and the prom models got to get their hair and make-up done. The stylists got there super late though. It was like, 1 or 2pm by the time they were finally here. I was going to have straightened hair, but they didn't have time to get my hair straightened. They just pulled it back in a high ponytail. The show was about to start pretty soon. I got rushed backstage into position as they played the slideshow. I still didn't have my make-up done :/ But one of the male models pulled me back to the dressing room after figuring out that I wasn't able to get my make-up done. In the end, I was able to get make-up. They airbrushed by face. It was actually really really fun. They were even able to perfectly conceal the mismatched skin pigment on my eyes! =) My eyeliner and shadow was absolutely awesome. I had to rush backstage after that though because the show was about to start. Our hearts were all pounding insanely. Before the curtains went up, all of us were wishing each other luck. They made me take off my glasses to walk. I didn't have any contacts so I was scared, but whatever. When it was my turn to walk, I was so nervous but I forgot everything. It felt like just any other rehearsal. I think taking off my glasses was a good move too because then I didn't have to see my crowd. xD The cheering was so loud from start to finish. At the very end as I did my exit pose, I froze up and my fear of the crowd came back. I had forgotten my signature pose. But since I needed to improvise quick, I did one of the poses that I was working on when I was deciding on my signature pose backstage. I turned to my side and stood like a pin-up model and blew a seductive kiss, then exited the runway. It got really quiet... I thought that I may have just embarrassed myself just then. But after the show, everyone I knew ran up to me and complimented me on the kiss. No one really expected me to do that and they all thought that it was absolutely cute. o.o I was so happy that they liked it and enjoyed the show. I can't believe that last night was really the show! I can't believe that I went out on stage and walked my catwalk on the runway! This morning when I woke up, it all seemed like a dream... But when I looked to my side near the windowsill, I saw my small bouquet of roses from the show in the vase. This is proof that what happened December 17th, and everyday after school at rehearsals since 3 months ago, was no dream at all. Chic Fashion Show- Forever and always in my heart. We ended 2009 with a bang ;D
