until you look outside and you can see to the end of your own street because of the thickest godamn fog you've ever seen; it's like that movie "The Mist" except there's frozen chavs lurking in the fog instead of a kracken.
Christmas trees all went up last night, X Factor announced its two finalist, I got insanely ill and I didn't start my homework like I said I would.
As of friday I'm the lead guitar for my old primary schools Nativity because the pianist was all "D: !!!" about the two kids who were playing guitar originally; they're still playing just incase you think I've stolen from these two wee kids. Friday was pretty mental; I've been working with the P6/7 class in the Gaidhlig Unit at my old primary and they were performing on friday afternoon to the rest of the Gaidhlig kids and two of the kids were off meaning I had to play the Grinch - full face and neck in thick bright green facepaint - and this other kid had to take on another part in someone elses play despite already having a part in his own groups play - touched my heart :').
UCAS application should have went away on friday but because I was basically on my feet running around all day I didn't get a chance to see Ms Bradley to check over my personal statement so that's getting done tomorrow; means I'll miss German Club though ;_;
At the moment, I should be writing an essay about the importance of Gaidhlig in modern day Scotland - in Gaidhlig - but it's my first Gaidhlig essay since 4th year and I'm struggling a tad so I took a break to procrastinate a bit. So far I've got :
"Gaidhlig is a special language and it should be the official language of Scotland, however the Scottish people tend to believe it to be strange and old.
People without Gaidhlig say that we have no use for it because we can all speak English and English is the biggest language in the world; they can say this but then what use would we have for other languages such as French and Spanish? People do not pose a question to the French asking why they speak French when they can speak English; why should Gaidhlig be any different? Scotland doesn't have a lot in terms of culture and Gaidhlig is one thing we have that other countries don't; it is special and everyone must be resepctful of it. Gaidhlig medium education schools are not common but still a lot of parents do not know that there is a Gaidhlig school in their town; there isn't enough information about Gaidhlig, Gaidhlig primary schools and what children will get out of Gaidhlig when they are older"
Keep in mind this is all written in Gaidhlig. I haven't got a lot written down.
If I had tomorrow double off then I could this then but I need to go along to my primary placement and then I have Gaidhlig.
