Scaredy Cats shouldn’t play with Bulls
There aren’t many memories that one remembers. For example, I can’t remember the day I was born or my first Christmas, but I do remember the time I was most terrified. It was at my best friends slumber party. Everyone had decided to go into the large cow pasture cross the street, everyone except me. They all urged me on saying the cows weren’t going hurt us. So we all hoped over the gate, with permission from the owner, and explored the pasture. Suddenly someone shouted “Ellyn run a bull!” I screamed and ran to the gate until I noticed no one was running with me and everyone was laughing. “that’s not fair you jerks!” I said. My body didn’t hurt but my pride sure did. Then almost ten minutes later another girl screamed and shouted “Bull run!” so once again I ran as fast as I could to the gate until I noticed I had been duped, again. “fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me!” so I chased everyone around in our newly formed game of tag. An hour had passed and we lay n the sun so the other girls said it wad time to head home, then I heard the familiar phrase “Bull, bull really a bull run, run!” everyone turned around and screamed then ran to the gate and climbed over it. “Ellyn get your butt over here your going to die!” not this time. I wasn’t going to fall for it for a third time. With my newly formed confidence I stretched into the air and sat on the ground “what? is the scary bull going to get me?” I spat sarcasticly, so I sat there for 5 minutes until they had finally convinced me to turn around. And sure enough a real bull, horns and everything was only 30 feet away from me heading 10 miles an hour! I stood up and froze I looked down and realized I was wearing a red shirt, “oh no,” I said to my self “I’m doomed” I turn around and ran as fast as I could. Have you ever heard of the lady who lifted a car to save her kids? Well at that moment that lady was me. I hoped over a 6 foot barbed wire fence in one leap and ran until I got to my house, which was next door to my friends with the slumber party. 10 minutes later al the girls walked up to me and asked if I was okay and that they were sorry. They also praised me on my running skills that day. At that moment, at that time I have never been so terrified, unless you count the time I got chased by two pit bulls, but that’s another story wink .
