Akane hugged the pillow to her chest, with a tight, but insecure grip. The pillow began to fall out of her arms, and away, as she turned to see something that seemed to be of her particular interest. When she turned back, the pillow had fallen, and was out of sight. She looked for the pillow, which had fallen under her bed. As she picked it up, she began to think of how the action that had just occured resembled the past few months of her life... With a sigh, she hugged the pillow back to her chest, lying back against the white wooden head of her bed. She turned her head, so that the luminescent moon was in full view out her window. The moon was bright, full, and it made her envious. The moon seemed to have it all right...The moon had no problems.
The moon got to shine all through the night, love everything it had...Leave... And still have everything it left, the next night. Akane wished she could be that lucky. In fact, she wished, in a way, she could be the moon. The moon was never alone, and shined brightly with the stars it held so close and dearly to its heart. "If only I was the moon...I could leave the stars..and still come back..And they'd be mine still..." she said quietly to herself, before rolling over and burrying her face in the pillow, and drifting off into a dreamless sleep.

The next day was bright, and sunny. To most people, this would make them awake and feel energized, and excited for what was to come in the day...But for Akane, it was the same old story you always hear... 'You can't enjoy a nice day like this when you feel as bad as this..'she thought to herself, as she awoke, to roll back over and cover her face with her blanket. She closed her eyes tight, as she lay there, tossing and turning in the morning hour. After a long while, she forced herself out of bed, and lazily made her way into the kitchen. Looking into the pantry, she found nothing was there for her to eat..She needed to go shopping, or she'd starve the rest of the day.
So, she sighed deeply, and walked into her bedroom. After picking out some rather bland and casual clothes, she walked into her bathroom, to take a nice, long warm shower. As she showered, she contemplated going out to eat, or just making something after getting groceries. Since she was feeling rather dreary, and lethargic, she'd decided to just go out and have some coffee, since she wasn't hungry for any particular food item. After showering, she got dressed, and walked out the door, away from the apartment complex she lived in, and down the street. She walked silently, 8 blocks...And realized she'd forgotten her wallet. She felt stupid, but she really didn't care so much about it.. She walked another block further, reaching a park, and sitting in a field, staring up at the wide open sky...so blue...But surrounded in all the beauty, she didn't fit in..She was gather gloomy looking, and disrupted the harmony around her. With nothing to do, she sat in the field staring at the sky, until she again fell asleep.

When Akane awoke, she wasn't in the same spot...And when she looked around, she was even more shocked...That it wasn't even the same place. She looked to over to her side, and again was shocked..

"Hello there, cutie."

Akane's face grew pink, and she was taken aback. There he was, sitting next to her...In his home.
