When earth's embraced in nights' wings
and darkness settles on the lands
as everyone closes their eyes
drifting into sleep

refusing to grant me rest

and everyone slips under their blankets

staring into the stars

as the confusion holds me
driving me insane

When the morning rays break through
and everybody's on their feet
