Dear Journal,
At last! I couldn't believe it today! I finally succeeded in maxing out my 8 main rings! But my enthusiasm was curbed after the first 20 minutes, for two main reasons anyway - one, lots of Gaians before I came along had already maxed out theirs a long time ago. And two, yeah I've finally reached my goal, but then that line of thought passed through, Yeah I've hit the limit at last.. now what? I tell you, it's not really that fun after you've seen most of it out there against the Animated. But it's still quite entertaining to watch some of the newbies fumble around with their rings.
Speaking of which, I met this really interesting fellow today. Couldn't help laughing when he kept on trying to Taunt everything in sight - Animated, the Barton Regulars, other players, etc. Of course, because of that, he got a lot of flak from the more experience players. Which reminds me, since when did useless scumbags who have no skill with their maxed out rings start learning to trash-talk the new guys? Sometimes, I wonder if it's really worth it even getting to the top, because worthless guys like these keep on talking about how great they are with their rings, and everyone else, I quote, "are ******** useless pieces of s**t". Whatever they want to think to keep from crying themselves to sleep every night, eh?
Alright, enough about my little post-celebratory pondering, as the war's escalating even more than usual. According to B.O.O. intelligence reports and all the hoo-ha on the streets, we're just that much closer to squaring off with S.I.N. yet again. Plus, our ballista seems to have been given a major boost over the past day, and it's definitely showing some great results out on the field. More of us come to join the fight daily, though I'm pretty sure that S.I.N. members still outnumber us - possibly a ratio of 3 to 1, as I heard.
Right, next up, casualty reports from the war. According to some of the reports we've been having, those on the outermost frontlines, particularly those guarding around the ballista, have been susceptible to some soft of.. I don't know what to call it. Mutation, or something like that I guess. Seriously, it was quite freaky to see some of them turning into other creatures - Golden Fleece sheep, wolves of different shapes and color, scary-looking pumpkins that twirled when they moved, that sort of thing. Of course, there are some idiots who thought that it was a great idea to do something like that, and they went to buy all these costumes and the like which were almost similar to that. The one major difference though, was that those who bought their costumes off the Marketplace seemed to maintain their regular Gaian traits. Those who were near the ballista.. weren't so lucky.
Right, on a last note. It seems that the 20,000 gold item I got from the Marketplace yesterday was a dud. Pretty crappy, but I decided to sell it at 2,000 gold. A significant loss, I know, but what can one do? The prices were stepped down so much within 24 hours, and I'm pretty sure that I wasn't the only one who felt it. Nonetheless, I guess this is what some would call 'a learning experience'. It's none too pleasing, but at least I'll know how to catch duds in the Marketplace in the near future.
All in all, today was quite.. eventful, if I might add. Not the kind of thing we usually see around Gaia, but what the heck. With all these weird things, like the Animated, and weird things going on, it's not really something we can just assume to be out of the ordinary, since 'normal' doesn't seem to have its place here in Gaia anymore. Besides food, of course. No wait, scratch that. I just saw a piece of beef transform into a puddle of goo. Never mind.
