Dexter sighed softly as he made his way too the book signing he honestly didn't want to attend. Why where people praising him for being a vampire? He definitely didn't find himself too be anywhere near the 'Edward Cullen' category. Honestly he didn't know what this was all for. Some person wrote about him in a book, about his life and poof. Everyone now knows he lives so that just ruined the ending for the story in the book didn't it? Pretty much but he still was confused too all these fans.
Biting his lip Dexter made it too the store where they where setting up shop for the signing, glad he took the back route frightened of what all those fans would do too him if he stepped outside. Dex looked around the room and his keen senses caught that there was already a girl there. Dexter didn't acknowledge the blonde's existance so that she wouldn't get in trouble by the book store owners.
Soon the shop was set up, books piled a mile high on the table where Dexter would be sitting with the author Ashlee. He honestly didn't understand the thirteen year old but wasn't about to question why she wrote the story for that would he extremely rude. Another sigh left his pale lips as he sat next too the blue eyed girl who was gazing around excitedly. She probably had no idea what she had gotten herself into, writing a story. But hey again he was not about to question it in the least. A loud voice erupted from behind the two. David, microphone in hand hollered, "Getcha' book signed! Come on now!" Dexter grimaced from the loud roar of teenage shrieks and screams as they ran in. He couldn't believe that kids these days where so excited over a vampire book. A biography of Dexter's life so far.
The girl who had been hiding behind the book case came out smiling brightly and jumping into line first, right in front of Dexter. Her braces glinted even in the dimly lighted store and her glasses glared, which could of possibly blinded someone. "I'm Emily!" Dexter already knew this would be a while. This girl looked as if she could tell more about Dexter then Dexter himself, odd, scary, and definitely a wee bit creepy but Dexter didn't reply. All the vamp found himself doing was grabbing a book and signing it.But then she erupted out into questions, "Dexter are you still with Cathlyn? Did you get married? Why are you here? Is Manalasion real? What's it like?" Dexter now ready to explode. Her voice! It was squeaky, horrible and Dexter gelter as if he could rip her vocal cords out and soothe the whole worlds pain then and there. Being the nice guy he was though Dexter didn't. But he didn't answer any of her questions.
Emily held her hands out expectantly for the book, Dexter looked at it then her smirking a bit, it would be nice just too have someone to have a little fun with so Dexter threw the book out into the crowd. Emily dived after it as if her life depended on the books ever substance. And With that a fight broke out and Dexter stood up quickly looking down at the dirty blond who had sat beside him signing some books with an apologetic smile. "Sorry." He whispered before walking out the back calmly chuckling too himself wondering if Emily got her book. The answer was soon answered as she was standing at the gate looking for Dexter obviously since he wasn't in the front. "Dexter! My book was torn, but that's all right! I got another copy. Can ya sign it for me?" She asked as Dexter then again flinched with s slight shake of the head. "No pen." He explained walking closer too her too get out.
"Dexter!" He broke out in a run. This girl was annoying. And honestly Dexter didn't want too sign her anything. Being a vampire gave him a slight edge in speed and he was gone. Cars weren't needed since he didn't drive. But everytime he looked behind himself and saw nothing Dexter could of sworn he heard Emily yelling after him...following.
Took me twenty minutes too write that.
