Continuation of part 1...
Just as he was about to bite me he paused to the sounding of footsteps.
“Hey…You know, you’re not supposed to drink the blood of another vampire.” Said the figure.
“Yeah. Get your hands off of her.” I hadn’t noticed there was another one.
I peered over the vampires shoulder to get a better look at the two. I saw two tall figures. One with blonde hair and brown eyes and the other one had white hair that seemed to gleam in the moon light and red eyes. The white haired one was obviously a vampire. He saw me staring at him and he glared at me baring his fangs.
“Stop looking at me like that kid. I’m not your snack! Understand?” He said to me.
“oh, look here. What do we have? A half breed and his mate? -snickers-” The vampire man said to them still holding me.
“Let the girl go! How many times do we have to tell you?!” The blonde shouted at the vampire.
“I apologize, but this girl is going to be my dinner.” He said.
“Let her go! I’m telling you. Girls like her don’t taste very good. Take it from me. I know.” The white haired boy said examining his finger nails.
He just got three awkward stares and they weren’t for a good reason. With him saying that, that means he’s drank a half vampires blood before? I stood there in fear wondering if I could trust them. I just didn’t want to be bitten. Not again.
“Heh. Fine! If you won’t let her go…then…I guess I’ll have to make you release her!!”
The white haired boy charged towards the vampire and me with fangs bared and claws extracted. I couldn’t escape and the vampire was still holding me down. I closed my eyes in fear of him hitting me. All I heard was the ripping of flesh and blood curling screams. When I noticed I wasn’t in pain I slowly opened my eyes to see a pile of dust fly away and a silver haired vampire covered in blood.
I gasped and tried to back scoot away but I bumped into a tree. He came closer to me and stared at me with his piercing red eye and said
“Xello Hertings.”
“…h-huh?” I was confused.
“That’s my name.”
“And my name is Jonathan Rowls. What is you’re name?” The blonde asked me as he helped me get up.
“…-glares-”
I didn’t know these people all too well. They could have been kidnappers for all I know.
“It’s alright. We can help you. Are you lost?” He asked me but I didn’t answer him.
“Leave her be John. If she doesn’t want our help let her stay out here with the wild animals and diseased insects. She could die for all I care.” The silver haired boy named Xello stared at me.
“I can’t do that, Xello. Besides, it’s Christmas eve. She should be at home with her family having fun!”
When he had said family I felt wetness roll down my cheeks. There felt like a lump growing in my throat that refused to let me speak. When I thought of who my real family could be I wondered if they would be around the Christmas tree singing Carols without me. I pulled the cloth in front of me closer to wipe me tears away but they just kept coming.
“See! Look at what you did! You made the brat cry!”
“I-I didn’t mean to. Hey, I’m sorry. What’s the matter little one? Come on, We should get her out of this cold.” John said.
My legs were numb and I couldn’t get up. I wondered how they were going to take me. Then all of a sudden I felt two steel-like arms beneath me pick me up off of the ground and carry me like a baby. I squirmed around when I noticed it was Xello, the white haired demon guy. I grunted as I tried to get loose from his grasp.
“l-led me go!” I began to cry again.
“Why you little BRAT! Hit me again and the first thing you’ll see is the ground on your face! Ouch! THAT’S IT!!!”
I didn’t mean to hit him. He took me by the leg and let me hang there like I was hanging upside down from a tree. I felt the blood rush to my head and I screamed and cried.
“Don’t do that, Xell! She’s just a child! She didn’t know any better. Then again she was probably trying to protect herself.”
“Oh Shut up!”
“Ahhhhh! Put me down!” I shouted.
“XELLO! Give her to me! You don’t know how to handle a child it seems!”
Before I knew it. I was in the arms of the blonde boy by the name of Jonathan. I didn’t seem to have a problem with him holding me. The way he held me made me feel safe. He held me securely and it felt like an embrace. A warm and comforting embracement.
“…I guess she has no problem with you. That’s not fair. I just saved the brats life while you just stood there and tried to look cool. You’re useless.” I heard Xello say.
“-sighs- She just likes me better then you. Maybe if you were a bit more nice to her she’d accept you. And stop calling her a brat. She seems nice.”
“Hey kid. What’s your name?” Xello asked me.
“…” I said nothing.
“If you want me to stop calling you brat then you have to tell me your name.”
“…I…don’t have one. At the home I was at…day called me M.” I said to them cuddling Jonathan not realizing it.
“oh…Then well call you M then! -laughs- Ow!” Jonathan elbowed him in the stomach.
“Do you…like that name?” Jonathan asked me.
“It not a name. It just something they call me by….please don’t take me back there. They are cruel to me and it took me forever to escape.” I begin to sob again using Jonathan’s shirt as a towel.
“…alright…You can…come with us for now.” He said to me as I raised my head with amazement in my eyes.
“R-really? You will let me come with you?!” I looked Jonathan in the eyes as he answered.
“…Yes.”
“WHAT?!?! You can’t be serious! A battle ground is no place for a stinking baby!”
“I’m no stinky baby!” Xello was really mean to me and glared at me a lot.
“Oh shut up you stinking baby! You’re not coming with us!”
“Xell, You have no say in this. And who said she’d be with us all the time. I can just take her over Catlin’s and I’m positive she’ll be taken care of.” Jonathan said still holding me. I guess he felt me shiver because he pulled me closer and said
“Come on. We better go. It’s getting cold out here for her.”
