the wind blows in my hair
but i don't really mind
i smile because i feel so free here
in this place not far enough from home

i can see the clouds moving
i wish i had time to paint them
so elegant and fluffy
like ballerina tutus

in my dreams i create a world
much unlike where i reside
but it is so beautiful
so much so that i long to share it
a place so high in the sky
away from my troubles
a castle in the clouds
where i can learn to fly

though man was not born with wings
i believe we were meant to soar the skies

my world is open to those i love
my manders
my jenny
and everyone else
all they have to do is ask
and i shall lift my veil of secrets

i love them all dearly
i would never trade them for the world
they are special
they are kind
and they all love me too

i have not been this happy since i was younger
i am glad my luck has turned
i can smile and be happy
i still have much to learn
but i am glad that i am where i am
as long as i have those dearest to me
and as long as i am loved
that is all i need for now
