In the Dark

The tears fall freely down my face
I cry because I can
I cry cause there is no tomorrow
No one left to hold my hand

I see no happiness at all
I hear no shouts of glee
And in this dreadful gloomy world
I am the only one to see

No tall peaks across the sea
No praries filled with grass
And in this lonely world of mine
There is no one left to ask

No one left to ask me why
Why all the birds have left the skies
No one left to see me through
Through all the darkness and the gloom

And in this hated orld of mine
There is no one to hear my cries

But hope remains still in the dark
One light still in my mind
One place the hatred cannot mark
One angel left to roam the skies

And if by chanse he stops to see
The dreadful, gloomy darkend sea
He will spred the joy and glee
And then in time awaken me

If my angel stops to ask
Stops to ask me why
I'll tell him that no one cares
And that is why I cry

No one cares and no one cries
About this world that's filled with lies

I wait for someone with a heart
I wait for one who cares

I look up to my surprise
To see the tears pour from his eyes

Now I lift my dreary sight
The tears do not pour down
For now I see my darkened world for what is really found

It is my fears
My dreadful dreams
My hatred all expelled

But now my eyes all clear of doubt
See past those dreary things
Into a world where happiness is all you ever need

Though darkness learks behind my mind
As it never really fades
I see the hope and happiness
That will never be errased
