I Reminisce While Singing To Your Picture


Since we split, things haven’t been the same

Heaven sent, I repeat and recite your lovely name

And I do it over and over

The only broken record that I could ever keep

The only broken record that could ever lay me 2 sleep

It’s better than a prayer, even your very presence is a blessing

The light of life, without your love, how is there peace 2 my resting?

I reminisce the lines and remember the rhymes,

I feel like Michael Jackson; Do You Remember the Times?

I hug and I kissed, and if you are not there I throw a fit;

Finally I found love, and all the wonders that come with it

It’s beginnings, the moments of joy until it ends

And if nothing rekindles, I will still reminisce it again


Do you remember? That thing that we had?

Happy and merry, then some moments were sad

Can’t turn the feeling, I can not turn away

Those taped up memories are the only things to stay

It has been months, I face failure to realize

That you are not coming back, that you are no longer in my life

You are the only thing that helps me to 2 survive!

Even tho we split a while back, in my heart you could never leave

How can just one name recall so many of these memories?

And this is no longer a lesson cuz we are not birds and bees

We R young lovers with full hearts so it’s just you and me

It is Me & U and there can be no lesser

But that love I used to have is now just a photo on my dresser!
