Chapter One - The Black Haired Girl?
'Life hasnt been easy for me,' i thought to myself as i spiked my usually untidy black hair up. The gel quickly started to harden as my fingers started to be stiff, so i decided to wash my hands with warm water the sink of my bathroom.
Did i say life was hard? I meant Life at School hasnt been easy!
i mean, everyone has a got a Girlfriend and they ALWAYS ask me every-single-day "have I got one yet", and its beginning to take its toll on my mental frame of mind...
I decided to check myself in the mirror next to the front door; i was wearing my school uniform, wearing a black jacket over my white school shirt. My light green eyes shone in my reflection.
'Meh, im pretty much decent...' i spoke to myself as i picked up my school bag and i walked out the front door, waiting at my usual bus stop, which took about 4 minutes.
Usually, when i walk to the bus stop, theres usually no one around, apart from the old people that wait for the 50th, which is 2 minutes before my bus comes around.
But when i got to the bus stop, there was no one around.... except for a black haired girl...
Interested, I walked up next to her and asked her if i'd missed the bus.
'Nah, It'll be here shortly,' She answered; her voice was music to my ears.
'T-Thank you,' Why did i stutter!
The Girl found it funny, 'You're the first to stutter, but i find that cute.' The Girl spoke in that heavenly voice; i started to blush uncontrollably, so i looked away for 3 minutes to regain self-control for the first time.
When i looked at her again, i noticed she was wearing a school uniform similar to mine.
I summoned up the courage to ask her 'Are you a new student?'
'Yeah, Ive read my timetable and im gonna be in Room 20 for like 3 hours,' she groaned sadly.
I felt pity for her, being the new student, till I realised she would be in the same class as me.
'Hey, ive just noticed, you'd be in the same class as me,' i told her cheerfully. She looked like she was smiling, but i couldnt tell because the bus arrive.
I showed the bus station my usual bus pass, and the buses gears started to creak as it headed towards it 40 minute ride.
The Girl beckoned me to sit by her, which i obeyed like a dog coming towards the master.
'I dont even know your name,' The Girl brought up, laughing a little.
'Oh, name is Steven Draiman, but people rarely call me by my first name so i call myself 'Draiman'. I answered her truthfully, she seemed very interested.
After a minutes, i asked, 'And whats yours?' Looking right into her pale hazel eyes.
'My name is Sophia.... I'd say my last name, but i have trouble remembering it,' she chuckled softly.
I began to look at fields of grass and cows past us by as we near the end of our journey. I wish i could have gone longer, a voice in my head wished.
'Say, why dont we meet up after school? I wanna know the area a little more.' Sophia asked politely.
'Yeah sure, i'd love to show you more of the area.' I answered happily, realising that my heart was beating a little faster than usual.
She smiled beautifully and gave me a wink; I couldnt tell whenever or not she could hear my heart beating.
I didnt get time to speak to Sophia because everyone was getting off the bus, walk through the car park and heading towards the blacken steel gates of the Terra Progress College.
When i saw the crowd thinning outside the car park, i saw Sophia, looking around for me.
'Sophia!' i shouted out, i noticed i made her jump slightly as she began to walk to me.
'Sorry...' I said, blushing. 'I guess i'am a little loud...'
Sophia didnt seem to mind the fact i was red all over, and began to walk to Room 20. What i first noticed about Sophia is how graceful she walks, like she was dancing on air. I was going to ask how she does that, but i figured i'd wait till this afternoon when im showing Sophia around the area.
I could hear voices as we got nearer to Room 20, then a thought had occured to me; everyone will think Sophia and i are together. This made my heart feel tight, as if someone was squeezing it, making my chest hurt a little.
'Hey, are you okay?' Sophia seem to have notice that i stopped walking.
I stare at her face, looking to her hazel eyes; should i tell her that im the only person who hasn't got a loved one?
'.....Nothing, lets go to the classroom...' I lied, my heart began to beat hard against my ribs.
When we were both outside Room 20, a the crowd of students wwere waiting to go into class.
One of them, a guy with short blonde hair and dark green eyes, walked towards me and Sophia; i knew what was gonna happen...
'Hey there Draiman, got yourself a girlfriend yet?' he asked in that same, annoying voice; he's been asking me this for the past 4 months.
'No...' I said in the same defeated tone for the past 4 months; Both of us had forgotton Sophia was right beside me.
'Oh, what a shame; Me and all my mates are gonna ask the College for a party to celebrate some of the couple around here...' He said in annoying tone; i know what he was trying to do, make my anger raise so i'd hit him and get into trouble.
'So?' I said, keeping my confidence up. 'I'll get a Girlfriend soon'. Though i knew the power behind my words were extremely weak.
'Hmph, well i doubt you will; who would go out with some guy like you?' He said as he walked back to his mates, laughing their heads off.
I could have walked off and punch the wall in rage in the bathroom, when-
'Hey, you dont have to take that from him.' Sophia's angelic voice whispered in my ear. This startled me a little; i forgotten she was right beside me.
'Sorry Sophia.... I should have told you that everyone in my class has got someone... except me' i finished, letting jealously flow through my word.
The bell rang loud and dully as everyone walked to class.
Well.... Not anymore.... She whispered, her words confused me, did she say what i thought she said?
We both smiled as we walked into class together....
Maybe shes the one I thought to myself happily
