Name: Derek
Age: N/A
Race: Vampire
Build: Not skinny, but not chunky, and not muscular. Derek is average all around, just barely leaning more towards chunky...and he makes it look good.
Height: This bear of a....vampire stands at 6' 9''
Personality: He is an apathetic creature devoted to his queen. However, one human manages to make him defiant, brave, and sympathetic.
Appearance: Derek is over 6' tall, a giant looming creature. He has small green eyes, tan skin, and a long fingernail on his left index finger for helping his queen sacrifice her human victims. His hair is dark brown, medium length [for a guy] and somewhere inbetween shaggy and neat.
Other: One of the vampire Queen's sacrifices was to find her her one true love. She kidnapped the human lover of the man who caught her eye. The only way to find if the two were compatible were the blood leaves which kiss the earth scorched with human blood, and a drop of that same blood lands on the leaves. The vampire court pinned the girl down, becoming one with the earth so she cannot escape and making a ring around their Queen. "Derek, get me this girls blood!" She seethed.
Derek ran his finger multiple times over her thigh quickly. "Please....just do it already." She whipered, but Derek turned away.
"There, my Queen. A drop." He let it on the leaves. The court released the girl, she would not need to struggle again. She poked Derek. He swatted her hand away, too intrested in the blood leaves to be pestered by a puny human. She poked him again. Once more he ignored. She poked him a third time, and so he decided to oblige. He turned to face her, glaring.
"Please." She pleaded, tears streaming down her face.
"What?" He asked, not sure what she meant.
"Please..." She whined again. She pointed to her thigh. "I never even felt it." And with that she exposed her neck to him. Derek's glare died.
"Why are you so eager to die?" He asked quietly.
"She will kill me anyways, and she will be sure to make it painful for me. If you do it, at least you may know I died in peace..." She begged him.
Derek shook his head. "What if your dearly beloved comes and kills her before she manages to get to you?"
"What if the leaves prove he is hers?"
"And what if they dont?" He asked. "They don't tell the Queen what she wants. They tell her the truth. What if you die now, and the leaves say he is for you? Give it a chance..."
The Queen turned around sharply, eyes seething. "The leaves! They say nothing!" She roared. Her anger bound the court to the ground, and Derek stood up. "The girl, kill her now!!!" She screamed, lunging for the pitiful human on the floor.
Derek intercepted th Queen. "I'm sorry, but I cannot let you do that, my queen."
She chuckled. "You? Of all the people, you are the one who defies me so?! Derek, I am suprised." She slapped him, he hissed.
The girl hid behind Derek, and he backed up, one arm beside the girl to keep her safe, the other out and ready to fight.
The Queen scoffed. "So, Derek, how old is your little pet? You know pets never live very long...How long do you think you can keep it alive?" She lashed out again, striking Derek. The girl behind him winced. It was all her fault. She grabbed his hand, hoping it would bring him comfort in his fight.
The Queen backed him up some more. She chuckled and this time went for the knees. It worked, and Derek fell, but he did not give up. The girl still managed to hide behind him. He chuckled to himself. "At least I know that I was able to hold you off until your dearly beloved could come save you." He managed. "And I redeemed my evilness....at the end."
Meanwhile the Queen had pulled out ten shards and had them between her fingers, ready to throw.
"Derek, the leaves said nothing...maybe he wasn't my dearly beloved-"
Before she could finish her sentence, the Queen threw the shards. Derek was now dead...
