There she was, a beautiful woman. Her skin was pale, her cheeks raised high, her lips tender, and oh, they seemed so soft. She was such a mystery, why was it no one came near her? What was wrong? She hadn’t a detail on her that I could see--but then again…I am blind.


Here I am, a blind man, a poor blind man with no knowledge of this beautiful woman who sits right around the corner. My senses must be getting the best of me…I cannot tell what my love looks like, yet I wish to meet…I wish to be, where she is, and no where else. But, what was a poor blind man to do..?


Although, feeling around, I wonder if this is really a tree? I feel a---hand… What’s going on here? Why is it so stiff? Why can’t I feel a pulse, there is no way, she is why all this commotion is about..”


His tail stiffened up, and his hands clenched in a fist, he was quite tall, and had a upper body like a man, lower body like a horse--a centaur. His hooves stomped many times, he had grey eyes, although he could not see, his sense of smell always gave him a pretty good description of people, except one person, who he never felt he knew enough about---Medusa. Faintly a voice could be heard, Chief Ram.


“Suph, where are you m’son?” It was a whisper.. ”Didn’t I tell you not to wonder off to places, especially the home of Medusa…You are not leaning against a tree m’boy, that is your old childhood friend, Mich..”


His face was disgusted, the poor blind Centaur, he had no idea, no one to be his eyes. He was really all alone, Chief Ram, his father, just warned him, and never really did anything about it if he ran away again, usually he would send one of Suphs friends out to get him again..


“Father, go home. You cannot be here…I came to find out what’s so bad about this poor woman, alone always? Seems to me she’s just lonely…go home, you don’t belong here as I do.”


Truth was he had fallen madly for this woman he could not see, and he didn’t want to see her taken away by anyone, no not anyone.. Although when his father heard his sons outburst, thinking Medusa would soon come, he quickly trotted off back to the village. Never again would he try and help his son. Although his father wouldn’t understand how his heart yearned and ached for love, something he’d never actually experienced in his whole life, he was always alone.. From the senses he got from her, she was all alone too…but why? Such beauty gone to waste, But what about him? He was a prince--a good for nothing though like his father kept suggesting.


Why was this such a odd thing? A woman and a man, the man wanting her, and her not noticing him. Finally a thumping noise could be heard from behind, it was not father, nor his army, but a serpent like woman. Hissing as she came, she whispered in the mans ear a few words, that even he couldn’t understand. But tried to give the best answer. He did not turn.


“I am Suph, Son of Chief Ram.”


“Oh? You wish to kill me? Why don’t you look at my face? Are you afraid of me too? Like your coward father.”

“I am no coward!” He tried not to yell, as he turned around to face her, his back was straight, “Why would I want to kill such a lovely beast..?”


She let out a soft smirk, although examining the man over, she then noticed something, and was quite shocked from it too, no Centaur before Suph was blind. Not one of them, and in her prophesy there would be a blind one, and that is the only one. The only one she will need.


“Your blind. Or would that just be a artificial coloring in your eyes? If you are blind, tell me what I look like.”


“You are correct, unfortunately I am, your skin is pale, your cheek bones are high, but other then that my senses fail when around you.”


He didn’t want to seem sudden, although Medusa herself quickly rushes him off into her ruins. She wanted him, and this was bad, because he was the only one who could understand her now. He was blind, and if you looked at her, you would turn to stone, therefore Suph was safe, for now..


Medusa loved her little toys, although to make sure he was blind, she tied a blindfold over him slightly, and made sure it was tight and asked him a few questions before she ended up making him her lover, and he was satisfied.
