Yes this is VERY late. But speaking out can come whenever.

So, as you know Prop 8 was the banning of gay marrige in California.

So, I wrote a little letter.

Dear Prop 8 supporters,

First off, My name is Jessica I am fourteen years old and I cannot tell you how disgusted I am. Adults, all of you voting were eighteen years and older. You always tell us children that we should "treat others the way we wish to be treated". So, if we take that slogan and apply it.
Basically your telling us that when you find someone whom you love with all your heart, every FIBER OF YOUR BEING we can't allow you to marry them and spend the rest of your life with them because that's how you treated the gay couples.

What is gay anyway? Why do families teach their children that this "gay" is the equivilent of Saten?
Let me lay it our for you in terms that a simplton like yourself can understand.
There is a girl. She is beautiful and talented. She has good grades and all throughout her life everyone has been her friend.
She feels out of palce and indifferent because when she looks at a boy she thinks, "Whatever" but when she looks over at her best girlfriend she can't think because her stomach is full of butterflies.

How is that any different from her liking a boy?

Here's another simple thing. You people get angery when same sex couples date.
Male parts and female parts can reproduce.
SO? This world is alreaday over populated.
If we took away all oragans all you'd have left is their love and then, why not then let them marry.

Religion.
This is the big one that many people use as an excuse.
In my days at Cascade Christian Junior/Senior High School I never ONCE saw a part of the Bible stating that being gay was wrong. Apparently it's in there though, but whenever I ask to see it the person goes, "Uh... well I don't know where it is."
Okay... and also what happened to "God loves all his creations" so if Chirstianity is against gays does God not love the people he made that just so happen to be just that?
Either way preists don't have to marry the couples if they don't want to. It's called Freedom people.
I'm one of the luckier ones. I choose to participate in a religion that supports love.

Some people say "Love knows no boundries".
So don't think just because they can't get married same sex couples still won't devote to each other.

So, that's all I have to say on this matter and I hope you take into consideration that even at the tender age of fourteen I am still much more intelligent then you people who voted yes. I'm not saying your dumb, I'm just saying that you obviousley wouldn't know love if it bit you, kill you and threw you in a river.

It is truly disgusting how people find this wrong.



If you think being gay is wrong give me a reason why and I can shoot back AT LEAST one reason why your reason is stupid.



It's okay to be gay. It's all in who you love and that shouldn't matter.



I don't want a lesbian hitting on me, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't be ones friend!!!
