Maybe I'll just take one little sip of Kellen's coke, thought Lise as she crept closer to the bottle of soda sitting on the kitchen counter.Just a little, Lise reassured herself.
Suddenly, her older sister appeared before her and Lise froze.
"What in the world do you think you're doing?!?!" demanded Kellen.
"Um..I-I-I-w-as-um-um," stammered Lise.
Kellen laughed and patted Lise on the cheek. "Oh, don't give me any of your excuses because I know what you're doing," said Kellen,"you were trying to sneak some of my coke, weren't you?"
Lise hung her head in embarrassment.
"Lise, what should mom and I do?" continued Kellen. "We've tried practically everything to get you to lose weight-diets,starving you ,swimming, weight lifting,La Fitness-seriously everything, but still you haven't lost any weight in the last 3 months, instead you've gained 15 pounds!"" Mom and I don't understand what else we can do for you to get you to lose some weight."
"You've never tried to lose weight this way," mumbled Lise under her breath.
Her sister sighed and walked away, shaking her head.
It was just too hard and confusing for Lise to lose even a bit of her weight. Even if she tried really hard, nothing would happen. She couldn't lose even one tenth of a pound.
