The Unloved Princess
There was once a young and very beautiful girl, named Anna Marie, she was the princess of the kingdom of Zerfaria. Anna Marie had blue, sparkling, and very enchanting eyes. Golden colored curls framed her delicate pale face. When she was just 3 years old, her father, Arnold the King of Zerfaria, left her mother, Victoria the Queen of Zerfaria, for a younger, more beautiful woman named Elizabeth. He even gave up his kingdom to go with her. Young Anna Marie and her mother were left in charge of Zefaria. While Victoria struggled to rule the kingdom on her own, Anna Marie attended school. She achieved outstanding grades, and became an excellent actress and singer. Her mother adored her for being so, so perfect. The Queen loved to show Anna Marie off to the rich merchants, masters, and mistresses. Anna Marie only spoke when spoken to and was always very proper. She was given anything she wanted, except love. Her mother never hugged her or said, "I love you." And her father was never around to give her the attention she deeply desired. He never sent her any letters to make sure she was allright or anything of that sort. When Anna Marie turned 14, news of her overall success had reached Arnold. He set out back to Zerfaria. Elizabeth, whom he had left Anna Marie and her mother for, had only wanted his money. Once he had no money left, she had left him. Anna Marie did not love her father and felt she never could. She felt abandoned by him and therefore could never love him.
Anna Marie wanted to feel loved. She had never known that feeling before. When Brian, one of her schoolmates, told her he loved her, she blindly believed him. Anna Marie became his girlfriend because she believed he would give her the attention and love her heart thirsted for. Brian was attracted to Anna Marie's beauty but did not love her. The real reason why he wanted to be her girlfriend was to one day become King. Brian enjoyed going to fancy balls, parties, and meeting important and very rich people. Anna Marie was always wrapped around his right arm. He told her he loved her, but that was it. Brian never hugged Anna Marie, never told her she was beautiful, never showed her the love she needed. One day, Brian just disappeared. No trace of him was ever found. Everyone expected Anna Marie to be sad and heartbroken, but she wasn't. She didn't even seem to care.
Anna Marie was usually very quiet and shy, but she still had lots of friends at school.
