My parents lied to get my brother and me to clean our rooms and our playroom (we don't have a basement so it's the closest thing we have). That's my only conclusion. They told us, "You have eight days to get presents..." Bullshit. My mom just told me not to expect anything else for Hanukkah. I spent and hour creating my Hanukkah list and my brother's. I got one thing off of it, and it wasn't even from my parents. I didn't get a single thing off my list from my parents. My little brother got two things off of his list. Everything I got was on the first day, which means they lied. I got a book I've never heard of, The Tales of Beedle the Bard (J.K. Rowling), Night World Volume 2 (my mother didn't notice she had gotten the second one and not the first), a pair of ruby earrings (which I don't mind, however it wasn't on my list), a digital camera (which never occurred to my brother or me, and I don't really want mine), and a case for the camera. Apparently they didn't like the idea of video games, but they could have at least told me that! And now I feel cheated, but I haven't said anything because it's selfish and rude. But it's been bothering me since last night and to find out they lied to us just makes it worse.
