Chapter 2: Cannons, Swords, and Rum
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Before I start, let me reassure you: No one's getting drunk in this chapter. It's just to sound cool. Thank you and enjoy the show.

Night had fallen on the lively town of Madrid. He had been writing this letter all day. This was the most work he'd done in forever. He slipped the letter in it's envelope and poured a candle-wax like material on the area where both ends of the envelope met. This boy looked around 16 or 17 years old. He had a normal Spainish tan, dark eyes that came in between losing their youthful sparkle and gaining their mature shine, amber-colored hair that reached his shoulders. He stamped his family's insigna into the material and pushed it away from himself. With a yawn, he flopped down on his bed and looked up towards the ceiling...to find the face of an elderly woman with kind green eyes and pure white hair pulled into a bun. "Ay!" he shouted. "Oh, Dorinda, it's just you." With a kind laugh, Dorinda said, "Senor Alejandro, what're you doing up so late at night?" "Well, um..." Alejandro didn't really know how to put it into words, so he gestured to his desk. "Oh, I see." Dorinda said with a smile, "Still working on the letter to your father." "Done." Alejandro corrected. "Oh, how wonderful!" Dorinda said in joy. "I can't help but imagine the look on his face when he reads it." Alejandro smiled. "Me too." he agreed as he tied his hair into a low ponytail. Dorinda noticed a book on the end table. She picked it up and read the title aloud to herself; "Treasure Island." She glared at Alejandro and questioned him, "Senor, when are these loco pirate dreams going to end?" "I don't know." Alejandro sighed. "You don't want to meet a pirate, do you?" Dorinda asked, starting to sound a little concerned. "Depends." was the answer he gave her. Dorinda seemed somewhat confused, but decided not to press the matter. "Will that be all, Senor?" She asked, getting back into the part of the govenor's maid that she took in the first place. "Yes." Alejandro confirmed, slipping into between the sheets. "Buenos noches, Dorinda." "Buenos noches, Senor." Dorinda bade him good night. Only hours had passed until, much to his surprise, Alejandro heard cannon fire. He snatched up a candle and lit it. He walked to the window, pull the curtains away and saw off in the distance, the flashes of cannon fire. "Madre de Dios..." he whispered to himself, "Pirates..."

On shore, the girls climbed down from the ship, shouting and randomly fireing their flintlocks, in an attempt to scare the citizens out of their wits. "Elaine!" Winnie said, tapping her captain's shoulder. "What now?" Elaine was in the middle of an adrenaline rush and came up with this, "How about we check out the govenor's house? Maybe check and see if he has a son?" Elaine suggested. The entire crew immediatly agreed. Elaine gathered up a group of girls and headed off towards what they beleived to be the govenor's house. Meanwhile, Alejandro pulled a sword from a wall decoration. He snuck down to the stairs just in time to see their butler walking to answer the door. "No! Wait!" Alejandro tried to stop him, but came to late. When the poor innocent butler opened the door, the last thing he saw was Rebecca pointing her flintlock at him and saying, "Thanks, chum." She pulled the trigger and the butler fell to the floor, pretty much dead. Alejandro slapped a hand to his mouth to stifle a shocked gasp. He watched in fear as a bunch of female pirates walked into his house. Elaine tapped Rebecca's shoulder and handed her a letter. "Rebecca, I want you to find the govenor's study and put this on his desk." She ordered her. "Aye-aye, Captain." Rebecca saluted. "And if you find the governor's son, bring him here." Elaine added. Alejandro was watching these two talk and didn't know that Winnie saw him. "Do you think that's him?" she asked pointing at Alejandro. Realizing that he'd been seen, Alejandro darted away, being chased by Rose, Winnie, Rebecca and Grace. Luckily for him, he managed to dart into another room before his pursuers rounded the corner. Rebecca shoved the letter into Grace's hands. "Winnie, come with me." she said snatching Winnie by the shirt sleeve and pointing to the other door, "Rose, Grace, you check that room." Rose and Grace walked in and found a room that resembled a library of sorts, the desk in the middle littered with papers. "I think we found the governor's study." Rose muttered to herself. Grace slapped the letter down on the desk and turned to walk out of the door. Meanwhile, Rebecca and Winnie walked into an almost completely empty room. With an angry huff, she shouted, "We know you're here, kid! Come out and we promise not to hurt you!" Winnie glanced at her in confusion. Rebecca nodded towards a closet at the far end of the room. "Come on, boy. All we want is for you to come with us." Alejandro was huddled into the far corner of the closet that Rebecca saw, trying hard not to breath to loud. A gaze of fear was plastered on his face for a second, thinking about what was going to happen to him. All of a sudden, the light that seeped in through the keyhole was blocked. He glanced up and saw that Rebecca found him. "Hallo, poppet." she said. The door was thrown open to Rebecca's flintlock pointed straight at him. All he could say was, "Parley!!" This stopped Rebecca. "What?" she asked. "According to the pirate code, you have to take me to your captain." Alejandro said. "Don't backsass me, boy. I know the code." Rebecca sneered. "And you can't do any harm to me until the parley is comple-" Alejandro tried to continue but Winnie, trying to sound tough, interrupted him, slowly raising her flintlock. "To blazes with the blasted code!" "Now, Winnie." Rebecca stopped her. She turned to Alejandro with a smile that gave off a somewhat evil vibe. "Of course, we'll take you to our captain." The quartet rejoined in the hallway, Rebecca dragging Alejandro by his ponytail. "Did you find the study?" Winnie asked Rose and Grace. Rose nodded confirmingly. Grace raised one hand, "Question. Rebecca, what was in it?" Rebecca answered, "It was a ransom letter." Alejandro gazed up at Rebecca in shock. "How much do we want him for?" Winnie threw out the next question. "Possibly the weight of this house in gold." Rebecca added. They continued on down the hallway, Rebecca lifting Alejandro over her shoulder. When they caught up with the rest of the crew, Rebecca tossed Alejandro on the ground. "Well," Elaine said in a friendly tone, turning to face him, "It's nice to meet you,...?" She waited for him to introduce himself. "Alejandro Vasquez." he said. Elaine outstreched her hand to him and returned with, "Elaine Chamberlain. It's a pleasure to meet you." Alejandro hesitantly took her hand and his suspicion was proven right. He was once again pulled over someone's shoulder. "Let me go!" "Oh, I'll let you go." Elaine said, "As soon as your father gives us the ransom we set on you." There, Alejandro became so angry, he started swearing in Spainish. "Listen, I'm English, so I don't know what the crap your saying!" Elaine snapped. Alejandro huffed angrily but remained silent for the entire boat ride back to the ship. Rebecca and Grace shoved Alejandro into a empty room and Rebecca said, rather hospitably, "We hope you have a pleasant stay aboard the..." She glanced at Grace in confusion. "What're we naming it?" "We'll work on it." Grace shrugged it off. "Well, we hope your stay is pleasant anyway." Rebecca returned to Alejandro. "Good night." She closed the door, leaving Alejandro alone. He layed back and growled to himself, "When I said I wanted to meet a pirate, this is not what I had in mind!"

I bet that it wasn't what Elizabeth had in mind when she was kidnapped by Barbossa either. xd Now, don't tell me you didn't expect a few Pirates of the Caribbean references in this story. Honestly, we all saw it coming. 3nodding
P.S. If I don't recognize you as my friend, don't bad mouth my story...or else twisted
P.P.S. After Chapter 3, I'm really gonna need some suggestions. They are accepted.
