Chapter 1 Part 2: Their very first battle
"Elaine! Elaine!" a bubbly young girl, around 12 or so, shouted as she skidded to a stop next to her captain. Elaine sighed and placed her hand on the girl's shoulder, "Winnie, we've discussed this, you can call me 'Elaine' when we make port. On the ship, it's 'Captain.'." The girl slapped a hand to her forehead, "D'oh! Sorry, Captain. I was just wondering what we're going to do now that we have a ship." Elaine suddenly became very thoughtful. "You know, I didn't think about that." she said, twirling a strand of her rich auburn hair in deep thought. "How about you go up to the crow's nest, see if we have an enemy ship coming near?" Winnie wasted no time in saluting her captain in one swift motion, "Aye-aye, Captain!" She then turned and walked off towards the rope ladder leading to the crow's nest, her curly strawberry blond hair bouncing with her every step. Suddenly, Elaine noticed the presence of a third person: her first mate and best friend, Rosalie Simmons(Rose for short.). "Rose, what's wrong?" Rose looked about 14 years of age, black-rimmed glasses framed her hazel eyes, straight deep brown, almost black hair fell to the middle of her back. Rose sighed, "I still wonder if this is a good idea." Elaine smirked and said, "Rose, relax. You panic about almost everything. Everything'll be fine. And if you don't beleive me, I'll make you a promise. As long as I'm captain, (And no one decides to mutiny and/or maroon me.) I won't let anyone on this ship get hurt." This picked Rose's spirits up a little. Rose smiled at her friend, "Okay, Elaine. I beleive you." Elaine smiled back. "I'll check on the crew." Rose said as she walked off. Elaine yelled after her, "AND I NEVER BREAK MY PROMISES!!!!!" Meanwhile, Winnie made her way to the crow's nest. "Don't look down, Winnie." She told herself. She opened her spyglass and took a look through...and it worked a little too well. "Yikes." Winnie said pulling back. "Jumped out at me." She adjusted the resoulution and tried again. She saw a beautiful galleon, it's white sails accepting of the wind it caught, it's crew scattering all over it like little worker ants, a beautiful Spainish flag fluttering in the breeze-wait! Spainish flag!? Winnie swallowed her small fear of heights and looked over the edge of the crow's nest. "Elai-no. Captain!" she shouted. "Yeah?" Elaine returned. Winnie gestured towards the Spainish ship, "Spainish galleon off the port bow!" Elaine opened her own personal spyglass and saw for herself. Sure enough, there was the Spainish ship. A sort of twisted smile creeped across her face as she muttered to herself, "Perfect." She slipped her spyglass back into her pocket and shouted to Winnie, gesturing to the flag flying above their ship, "What flag is that?" Winnie was skilled in recognizing country flags and recognized it right away. "The English flag." "Do you have the Spainish flag up there?" Elaine asked. Winnie was also skilled in sewing copies of flags. She looked through her pile of hand-sewn flags and found a Spainish one. "Yup!" Winnie shouted to Elaine. "Raise it!" Elaine ordered. "We need to gain their trust for a few seconds!" "Aye-aye, Captain!" Winnie saluted and went right to work. "Rebecca!" Elaine shouted. Rebecca lifted her head for cleaning her flintlock and answered, "Yes, ma'am?" "Tell the girls downstairs to start loadin' the cannons." "Aye-aye, Captain!" Rebecca saluted with an excited smile on her face. She walked into the galley and, with a very pirate-y tone in her voice, shouted, "On yer toes, you lazy bilge rats! Load the cannons! We have a Spainish ship nearby that we're going to blow out of the water!" The crew celebrated this and started to load the cannons. Meanwhile, on the Spainish ship, a young crewmate watched the White Falcon approach them. "Um, Captain, I think you should see this." he said handing his spyglass to his captain. After a second, the captain tossed the spyglass back to the young man, "It's fine. They're flying the Spainish flag." "Um, ok." The young man agreed weakly as his captain walked away. He glanced one more time at the new ship and muttered to himself, "I have suh a bad feeling about this." Back on the White Falcon, Elaine shouted to Winnie, "On my command, raise our colors!" Winnie saluted, "Aye, Captain!" Elaine stomped her boot twice and Rebecca popped up from a trap door next to them. "Yes, Captain?" she asked. "On my signal, fire all cannons." Elaine ordered. "Aye, Captain." Rebecca saluted before she vanished again underneath the trap door. Elaine nudged Rose in the shoulder and said, "See? I told you we'd have a life of adventure." "Yeah, I-i guess." Rose agreed uncertainly, a great deal of fear in her voice. "Rose, remember my promise." Elaine told Rose as the ship sidled right up next to it's victim. "Alright, Winnie! Now!" She shouted to her friend in the crow's nest. With an excited giggle, Winnie lowered their fake Spainish flag. "Huh?" the young man muttered to himself back on the Spainish galleon. He just saw the new ship lower their flag. Much to his shock, the ship raised an entirely new flag: A pitch black flag embossed with a pure white skull and crossbones image...the flag of..."pirates..." he muttered to himself. He had every right to be scared, He did not yet know of the power of these young female pirates.

Winnie (Short for Winifred.), mans the crow's nest. Rebecca, bosun (the ships disciplinarian.) OOPS! I forgot one. Grace, Mans the wheel. I forgot her in there. She'll come up in the next part. Sorry.

P.S. No bad mouthing my story. I'll sic Rebecca on you and she's tough. xd
