Howls of Loneliness
Basically just poems I write when I need to talk to someone but no ones there to listen...
My Werewolf
I breathe in the night air
Cooling the flames building in my lungs
Sighing, both ashamed and relieved
At the beast I willingly become

Born with the blood of a wolf
Yet sealed in the flesh of a man
Though it is taught that the moon is not the trigger
Its presences continues to tempt all wild souls

Escape from the human civilization became my goal
The moment my lupine side made itself known
Waking up one morning on freshly dew lawn
Shocked at the presents of still grown fangs and claws

At first I dreaded what I was
Feared my animal nature would destroy
But from becoming the wolf often enough
I found I was still gentle, only begging for freedom in the wild

I finally grant my feral side its wish
Finding a moment in busy life to flee to the wild
Camping in the rural parts of the towns woods
Preparing for a long stay and set my lupine soul free

The sun starts to set beyond the horizon
Yet a fiery warmth ceases to evade me
Peeling away my clothes and straps
I growl deep relief for cool air to sooth me

A luminescent glow appears behind me
My eyes immediately drawn to its presence
The full moon arrives
And the wolf inside stirs wildly

Breathing becomes hard to control
And body begins to shudder and contort
Bones aches and muscles ripple
And a wild itch consumes my being

Here in the woods I feel no more shame
No regret or fear of being caught or discovered
Unable to restraint the action bottled up so long
I lift my head and howl happily

Hair quickly starts to cover bare skin
Thickening madly and supplying natural warmth
Brushing grown fur against quivering hands
Becomes hard to control a delighted pant

Black claws and ivory fangs sprout in place
Ears pull and point and nose reshape
Spine arches and shoulders blades bulge
The current shift causing me to fall forward

Hands and feet throb and lengthen
The forms now taking it wolfish structure
Chest barrels forward and torso extends
My body’s form now taking a very feral shape

Snarling both in wild aggression and joy
This part I somehow relish in bliss
Bone over face push forward and make my muzzle
Tail bone extends and wags with freshly bushy fur

The changes stop and now I stand a werewolf
More feral than the human-like standards
And I feel no regret giving into my beast
Finding admiration in becoming something majestic

Delighted at my new form, my new self
I howl into the night
Racing out deep into the woods
Seeking similar kin with similar delights
