All That You Missed (Not Like its Much) |

Heermmm...lets see...methinks my last post was Thursday...so I'll tell you about Friday, Saturday, and today!!! I know, you're just so enthralled!!! 3nodding
OK, so on Friday, I had my job shadowing thing, so that was fun and I missed almost all of my core classes! But the scariest and most harrowing thing happened before I left: Mrs. Ghadlfampton gave us candy. She pulls this bowl of sweets out of a plastic grocery bag, and says something about "the breakfast of champions", and then my oh-so naiive classmates fall upon it like a pack of starved middle-schoolers...all the while, I was thinking about armageddon; wondering when it would come... Later, in the evening, a friend of mine had his birthday party. It was in the park, so it was cold and dark until we retreated to the shelter of his grandparent's house. Saturday...what did I do? Oh, yeah. Nothing. I went to my cousin's birthday party, all the way out in Eudora, Kansas, and when I got home, I wanted to go to the Otaku club, but when I tried calling the girl I thought was hosting it, no one answered, so I retreated to my room to brood.
Sunday dawned like any other Sunday: early, and cold. Of course, I had to go to church, which was early, and cold. We had a substitute organist; good grief, that was terrible. They played too slow. Then we come home to my dad cooking, and the whole house reeks of balsamic vinegar. "It boiled over," he says of the foul smelling brew on the stove. Choking, I hurry to my room, because the jazz band will be playing at Borders. I think we did a pretty good job for having all the sevies in the band that we do. We played "La Noche Del Burrito Picante" (night of the spicy burrito), "St. James' Infirmary", and "Let it Snow, Let it Snow". I doubt anybody heard me play, accounting for the fact that I'm in the rhythm section and I just strum chords the whole time, but I have an important part. You can't see the thread in clothes, but something holds it all together.
