Once upon a time… what a cliché, we’ve all heard before right? Well that’s a tale for another time, isn’t it? Where was I… ah yes, once there was a dazzling kingdom full of joy, Buildings that towered high, high into the clouds, The streets where paved with gold as well as mansions and beautiful cottages. There however was one sour apple among the inhabitants; the son of an Earl. Yes, the boy was rich, but he longed for a more common life than he had been given. His only two friends where his two Cabin boys, One of which was his best friend and the other whom loved him to perdition. The life’s of the folk where humble as could humanly possible, until the day the prince called out to the spirits to change the city to a beautiful landscape only the finest would admire[He believed they would.]. His wish was granted, but it came at a terrifying price.
After the granting of said wish, an ominous cloud formation formed above the vast land, the gold streets turned to coal, lightning struck the buildings and homes, as rivers & water became as blood. This had not been the son’s intention, he hurried to tell his father what had happened, but it was too late. The Earl had become Enamored with Dracula, becoming a blood thirsty creature of superb and unnaturally evil power. Many of the towns folk befell this same transformation, some however became less than changed, more so they had become gutless halfwits of pray for the vampires. The two servant boys changed as well; The loving young one became like a rag doll yet undead, where as the best friend became a silent murderous dark elf. The city grew death filled as the kingdom went into pandemonium.
Fearing the spirits had heard him wrong the boy, now slowly becoming like his father, spoke once more with the spirits; this time in aggravation, not desperation.
“Why are you spirits turning this place into a hell!?” The boy called out to them, “I asked you make it a beautiful country side that only those who have an ever lasting lust for nature could admire!”
“Oh, but it is beautiful, is it not?” Called back the nasty voices, “ we only did as you asked, nothing more, or is it not beauty in your eyes beyond any other?”
“This is not what I asked for, you slime!”
“than in disappointment we ask for an offering,” Cried the spirits as the boys heart was torn from his chest and fed to them, “for now we will take this as sufficient payment, but in the 13 years we will return to take all that you cherish as the full payment, if you can get married within those years we will consider this, your heart as Full payment for your kingdoms beauty.”
And so thirteen years went by and the two servant boys had vanished, as the prince searched for a wondrous bride, alas he could not settle with any woman. He simply had no wish to be near them. He was drawn to no one, and he vowed he would not marry without love. His father, now the count, had since gone into hibernation in a casket in the family mausoleum, uncaring of the happenings in the city, so long as he gained a decent meal each night. The son began to wonder if the curse he had created would ever lift, The only person who he had ever had feelings for, who loved him back, was the rag doll servant who had vanished; Presumably dead[even though in his condition the servant could not die.]. Villagers began starting riots or mobs demanding the earls son do something about the vampire problems. They didn’t expect much seeing as he was the son of the earl who had started the vampires. Just as the boy was about to speak in the crowd he saw his two former servants staring right at him. He made eye contact with his Rag doll, which blushed and shuddered at having his soul bore into. The earl’s son then began to hurry down to the crowd, in search of what was rightfully his [in his own mind.]. He was too late though, the rag doll had warned his elf friend of what had happened and the elf hurried the dead doll out of sight. This angered the son dearly. He had found who he planned to marry and was being prevented from doing so, and on his last year to break the curse.
That night again he visited the spirits begging for one more week, in hopes to save the kingdom from the nightmare it was now. He told them of how he had seen the one he wished to marry but was prevented from doing so, he asked them if they would spare him one more week to regain what once was.
“We admire, your bravery, nobleman. But we give you until dawn only, we are thus generous and you should thank the stars that we give you this opportunity,” Spat the spirits. The vanished in a furry, they had not wished to give the boy any chances at all but they felt obligated to give him a fighting chance.
The earl’s son began scouring the city for his love. He searched the gallows, the river, even the sewer till he came upon the church monastery, where he saw the two servants speaking with one another. Upon notice to his arrival the elf drew a dagger prepared to strike and protect the rag doll boy. The son threw his arms in the air and called out, “I mean you no harm!”
“Why have you come here!?” the elf demanded, clearly having no recollection of who it was he spoke to, Gesturing to the rag doll he continued “Have you come trying to claim Tormmy? Well get lost he doesn’t wish to be with anyone, he already lost the one he loved!”
“I Know this very well,” the son told them, “ you may not recognize me but I am he who, Tormmy once loved.”
In that instance the rag doll walked up to him and looked him in the eyes once again. Tears formed in his eyes and he clung to the Earl’s son calling to the elf,” it is him, he has the same sparkle in his eyes…”
“You may not have known this tormmy, but I felt the same for you,” The son stated before asking the rag doll to marry him. The wedding was small and bleak, but it existed.
“Do you Kane take this boy to be your wedded wife?” Asked the zombified priest who had a rotting smell to him
“I do”
“and you tormmy?”
“ I do”
And so they visited the spirits, whom all where greatly aggravated by this. The told them they would restore everything, but as soon as they said it they swallowed the kingdom whole, so that no one would ever see it again nor would it change or be disturbed, ever existing In the fabric of time.
