The night was silent, the wind making the only noise when it made the tree’s leaves rustle slightly. The
woman crouched at the top of the building; her golden eyes scanning all around her had her pale silver hair whipped about in the wind. Her new target was going to pass this way, and when he did, she would kill him and collect her money. The woman was an assassin, and a well known one named Vivian. She was often nicknamed shadow due to how she could slip in and out as if she was not there. She was known for her quick killing techniques. It was often believed that the target never even knows she’s there, or that they have been killed. Of course she could make it to where that know and get frightened, but that commonly causes unwanted reactions, like screaming and running for their life. It was enough work to track her targets down, so she didn’t want to have to chase them once she had already pointed them out. It was just some more unnecessary work on her part.
Vivian was quite surprised on how much her client had paid of this one to be taken down. She had only received such a payment, or a promise of such a payment, only a few other times in her career, and the targets had been some big major hot shot. One time her target was a fellow assassin that she had once worked with on a double team mission to take out a group of targets. Vivian cared little who she was ordered to kill, as long as she got paid. There where many times that she had finished the job, but the client refused to pay her. This resulted in the death of the client, and his whole family as well. Vivian was so off one her own day dreams that she nearly missed the sight of a man coming into view, his profile matching the description and picture. Her target had arrived.
