I have some good news and some bad news...

So...I auditioned for all-state orchestra...and...I guess I did pretty well because I ended up 24th chair...

Bad news is...there are only 24 chairs...

So, I'm last chair, but that's okay. My freshman year (I'm a junior now), I was seven chairs away from all-state orchestra. I was very excited when I found the results online for this year. It was awesome.

Now I have two full days of practice, and I'm looking forward to playing all that music again.

If I hadn't done so well on the written exam, I don't think I would've made it into All-state. I'm in now, and that's all that matters.

I've been calling all my friends and telling them the good news. I'm extremely excited. It feels great!
