The self-proclaimed "Goth Prince", Rin views himself as an "epitome of darkness" wearing "the obsidian crown". He's a bit of an enigma: he can act insensitive yet also sympathetic; he likes to act superior but can also lower down to your level (meaning understand who you are.) So overall, Rin isn't an evil person. He's just misunderstood.
Because Rin feels he cannot talk to the living, he talks to the dead. He's a psychic, a necromancer, and can talk to spirits. His ghost buddies include a little girl who lurks in the forest in his backyard and a surfer with an Australian accent who claims he has died from a shark attack.
Rin is also a vegetarian. Mmm... veggies.
