Highschool Secrets chapter 6
When I woke up Alice was already up and dressed trying to pull me out of bed unsuccessfully. She sat down then on a stool panting. "Having fun?" I chuckled, "Oh, haha." She breathed standing up and pecking me on the cheek before flying out the door and down the stairs. "Hurry! Your stuff is ready, and I got you breakfast, all you need to do is eat and get dressed!" She called from below. "Kay'!" I called back. I grabbed some clothes and ran down the stairs tripping on my own feet on the way. When I made it down I gulped down my breakfast and ran out the door with Alice jogging behind me. I jumped into my car and after Alice was in I stomped on the gas and tore down the road to the school thinking of what would happen the whole way. Alice was silent beside me until people started to maul us with questions and harassment at which she started screaming comebacks to the jerks trying to touch her. I just ducked my head until we were in biology in which I only put up my head and listened to the teacher's boring lecture about cells which I already studied. When I looked over at Alice I realized she was wearing new clothes that I had never seen before. She had a red hairband, black skirt with jeans under, red arm-wraps, checkered bracelets, a monster t-shirt, a new vest, and her hair was short, choppy, and black. Once again, all I could do was stare. When I heard the teacher call out my name I jumped and almost yelled, "spectrogasm!" and he answered, "very good Aaron I'm glad to see you paying attention." and my posture relaxed. Then Alice smiled at my awed expression and clasped my hand under the table. I squeezed it gently then let go when the next period bell rang. "See you in gym!" I called out over the crowd, "Kay!" she yelled back. All through my other periods all I could do was think about Alice. When I was writing in my agenda in math class I realized that it was October 31st. All I could think then was craaaaaaaaaaaapppppppppppppp............... Then I thought, What was Alice gonna be? When I found her on the edge of the gym already changed like me I asked her. All she said was, "You'll see" smiled, and skipped off. Later that night when I was at home on the couch thinking I heard the doorbell ring and called out "Be right there!" and heard, "It's me!" at which I ran to the door and swung it open. There she was, she had her hair let down in a brown wave that covered her eye and a black and red leg-less suit with black gloves and boots. "I brought you a costume!" She chirped gleefully. I smiled and took the heavy package to go change. When I came back out and Alice saw me she started to giggle, I looked down at myself at stared into the mirror awed at my appearance. I was in a full length suit (with a cape of course) and had a mask and gloves. I looked like superman especially with my black hair smoothed out. So Alice and I set out and came back 3 hours later with 4 pillow cases of candy. We stayed up till about 2 am eating candy and joking around. After awhile Alice had to go home so I kissed her goodbye and she left. I lay on my bed for a good while before slipping into unconsciousness.
In the morning when I woke up I heard my mom calling my name from the hallway.
"I'M COMING! Sheesh!" and I climbed out of bed and got dressed quickly, grabbed my backpack, and ran down the stairs. "Who died?" I said when I got to my mom. At first all I saw was my mom until she said, "Oh hey Hon! You know, you never told me you had a girlfriend!" and that my entire body stiffened. "Yeah, about that mom...." I mumbled. "Oh no! Alice is wonderful!" I my mother suddenly cried out excitedly. I walked into the room then and saw Alice in the armchair smiling like no tomorrow. I glowered at her for a second before smiling when realizing she was looking great as always and was shining like a star. she had on her usual black arm-warmers, head-band, tie, and vest, but she also had a black skirt, black lack tights, white button-up with red long-sleeves, her hair was blue and short with slicked, sharp, bangs, and with black lace up knee-high all stars. Though she seemed shining I could see under that smile a grimace of something she needed to tell me. "Hey mom?" I asked "Yes?" "Could you leave Alice and I alone for a sec?" "Sure dear" and my mom walked from the room smiling. I cautiously walked over to the couch near Alice, "Okay what happened?" I asked sharply but quietly. "We have a big problem...."
